So King - do you have a feel for the max number of recruits we are taking for next season?
It’s kind of fluid but roughly ~3 more spots post Onis that we’ll only use if really excited about prospects.

Maddox, Morris both have spots.

Ty Jackson obviously would. Gibson would. If someone special emerges this fall a la Arion Carter they would too.

So we would take guys and figure out the numbers later, or think the 105 number takes effect and makes how many we take this year a moot point?

Telander and Spillman are some beasts as well. Carter is on another level athletically though. Just a freak.

I think they’re all pretty close athletically. With Carter being the most, but I don’t think it’s by a lot. All three of those guys can run and love to hit. Especially Spillman. Carter has that Ray Lewis leadership thing in his voice though lol.

This kid Harmon we just got a commitment from is huge though. He ran 10.9 100 meter. That’s nuts. Then Gass ran 11.3 at 6’3 220 and has played WR.

That’s 5 really talented dudes at LB. I can’t remember a time…we’ve been that talented. It’s been a very long time. 2 of them Alabama Flips…

Then there’s Jalen Smith and Kalib Perry who would have started at LB in the Dooley era. We would have been happy with those guys as the starters back then.

JRM was one of the best we've ever had. Dude had an unbelievable nose for the football ala Al Wilson/Tyrone Hines.
Saban said one time when we played that he might be the best defensive player on the field that day. Idk if it was motivation for his players but in any case it speaks to how highly thought of he was.
