Lewis, a junior at Chaminade-Madonna College Prep in Hollywood, Fla., recently released an updated top six that again included Tennessee, along with LSU, Alabama, Penn State, Nebraska and Texas A&M. A five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, he has been high on the Vols for months, and he’s hoping to make it back to Knoxville in the coming months after once discussing a possible visit to Tennessee in late January that ended up being postponed. Texas A&M and Nebraska still are widely viewed as the favorites to land Lewis, who once was committed to Florida. But the Vols still are very much in the picture and remain on the short list of contenders for him.

His recruitment is still wide-open, but Tennessee recently made his top six. The most notable thing about that top six: No schools from his home state of Florida were included. Niedermeyer is the chief recruiter for the five-star prospect, who’s ranked No. 10 in the 247Sports Composite.

Man, when this kid dissects the play and attacks, it is over. So fast, so physical, like my boy said, 901, South Florida speed and talent. Land this kid and a top 10 ranking will be a gimme, top 5, if we hold on to Brooks, this is Fulmer 90s-like talent
