Yeah! First post.
I was thinking if Irma hits a section of FL, we may not have that as an away game.
FL could always act like they did last year against LSU and be babies cause they are now shook.
Our D line should keep that Felepe Frank in the dirt. Their O was just hilariously bad.

Maybe, we can all see FL get butt whoopin in Neyland two years in a row!

Here's to 3-0

Not likely. Irma is supposed to hit this weekend, not two weeks from now. I really don't want that anyway.

Besides, I would rather not have to play in the Swamp two years in a row. Florida is every bit as suspect as us this year. If ever there was a year to not fear playing them in the Swamp it's now. I don't believe home field is going to give either time a huge leg-up in the game this year.

Would not mind postponing the game until later in the season. We all know what happened last time

If it hits northern Florida mid next week and it particularly bad, I could definitely see it impacting the game...

If Irma hits this weekend, then it is one week away from the FL game. And hurricane damage tends to last awhile bubba, I went through Katrina.

I'd like to embarrass them on their own turf though. Playing in the Swamp always throws us for a loop home advantage is always good w/ FL. Dormandy's first true away game start too. Good thing he is steady eddie.

there's no way we want to reschedule this game to the end of the season. if there's a time where we want to play Florida, it's the as-scheduled week 3. their QB situation has not been solved yet and doesn't seem to necessarily look like it will be "solved" by week 3. plus their practice schedule might be messed up too. but the biggest factor is that McElwain hasn't given a word on when Scarlett and Callaway (the two most important players suspended) will be back so it might be their first game back and they won't have a game before under their feet until they play us. Prediction: Vols 24-FLA 14

SEC needs to be proactive and move it to Atlanta in next day or two. Go ahead and have a back up plan. If Irma makes a helpful shift then stay at Gainesville. But having no plan in place prior to potential record breaking rain and flooding is irresponsible at best.

You can bet your sweet bippy that Scarlett and Calloway will both be back for UT game.

Yes, I think that's exactly right. Hope for the best, plan for the worst. No reason we can't have a Plan B in place and ready to execute if needed.

Looking at the updated NHC track, it seems the chance of the storm going into the Gulf has dropped significantly over the last 24 hours. While the chance of it hitting Florida or turning back into the Atlantic have gone up.

That's bad news for Florida, but I bet the folks in coastal Texas are heaving a huge sigh of relief. Two punches in a row would be devastating for that area.
