I know we lost, but I have to say I'm proud of our Vols. Everyone expected us to lose big and we didn't. We still have a little ways to go, but we proved a lot and earned some respect tonight. I'm also glad this game got a lot of hype. I've heard this game referred to as "the beatdown." We proved tonight that we will not be slaughtered like we have in recent past. We won't back down from anyone and will force opponents to earn a win. That is the difference this coaching staff makes. Another year or two of top-notch recruiting and this team will be running with the elite. I will be happy to see us be competitive within the SEC and make every team give 100% against us and prove we are no pushover. From what I've heard from the media tonight, they've said Kiffin can coach and they understand what he's doing for our program. I'm never happy with a loss, but this is the happiest I've been with a loss considering our situation and what we're trying to accomplish long-term. I'm proud of our team and our coaching staff. We have to understand that we may struggle at times this season. But keep in mind the direction this program is going. We are rebuilding, and rebuilding fast! It won't be long before we're running with the elite again! It feels good to be a Vol!:dance2:
