Like I said, I am ok with making changes just as long as every team in the league plays every other team at
least every other year.
Some good ideas, but I would like to add 2 more money making teams to the S.E.C. and have an East division consisting of 8 teams and a West division consisting of 8 teams.
Teams that can't be added would be Southern Miss, Louisville, or Georgia Tech. Those two new teams need to add t.v. revenue to the S.E.C. For instance, if the two additional teams were in a state where the S.E.C. already has viewership, then it will not add to the t.v. revenue. People in Mississippi already watch Ole Piss & Miss. State so adding Southern Miss would not add more t.v. revenue. Nor would Louisville because Ky. is in that t.v. market and same with Tech because UGA is in that t.v. market.
Why have 100 million dollars for instance divided by 14 teams, then add 2 more teams to S.E.C. and they don't bring in more money. Now you have 100 million dollars divided by 16 teams and each teams gets less money from t.v. money.
The big t.v. markets remaining would be New York with Syracuse or in Los Angeles with U.C.L.A.
I realize the fact that they are not geographically located but neither is WVU to the conference they are in. Also, in the past, the Houston Oilers were in the division with Pitts. Cleveland & Cincinnati and weren't in that area. Also, the Falcons were in the division with San Fran, Seattle & Arizona. Of course, Atlanta is not even close to the West coast.
