I think this is spot on. Butch is absolutely in the #5-#7 hot seat range in the SEC. Welcome to Tennessee.

Butch has done an awesome job so far - A+ in my book.

Up until this year, Tennessee has been a rebuilding job. He has rebuilt the **** out of this program and I think most would agree.

But 2016 isn't about rebuilding anymore, it's about contending. Aside from some bad injury luck, I think Butch has to put some serious results on paper or he will enter 2017 on a legitimate hot seat.

Serious Results: SEC East Champ or runner-up to a surprisingly fantastic team.

It's Georgia that we need to worry about. They're better than Florida and their schedule sets up favorably. The game in Athens will determine the winner in the east.
Florida has to find a QB that can manage a game without the help of steroids, but they're a talented team no doubt.

You have to remember not every new coach walked into a team decimated by two terrible hc hires that led to not even having a full scholly roster when Butch came in. Tennessee was a full rebuild where most of your other top tier jobs, the new hc at least has a decent bit of talent to work with from the previous hc's recruiting efforts.

And I'm more confident we'll beat both UGA and bama despite the fact that both teams, esp bama, are more talented than Fla. We've proven time and time again that despite any advantages we have over Fla, we find a way to lose to the damn lizards. Watched the game last year w a friend whose dad is a Fla fan, and his words when we missed the final fg were "We didn't win that game...y'all handed it to us, but I'll take it." However, I believe we get the lizard monkey off our back and it propels us to a very memorable season.

Being featured on Sportscenter for choking away multiple big games, was uncomfortable for many. Did you sleep through last fall?

Just wait until Gameday comes to town for undefeated Bama vs undefeated Tennessee and Butch sits down with Tom Rinaldi discussing clips from last years close losses and how it's made us stronger. "You know sometimes the foundation isn't quite as strong as you thought and you add a few more bricks to make it sturdier."

I Shoop's quaote is anywhere near accurate in that no one will run on us....LSU will never beat us!
Our D has to be just as good as Bama's D was last year when LSU was unable to run on them. I think it's possible team 120 may have a better D than last year's Tide group.
