Fittingly, it seems, Bama will nail Fulmer's coffin shut for good

Regardless of a W or L in Athens, the official ending of the Phil Fulmer era will come on Oct 25. On that day, Bama and Saban will come into Neyland and deliver an old-fashioned country azz whipping like hasn't been seen since Aub 04. Isn't it ironic? The one opponent who allowed Phil to hold on this long with continual ineptitude at their HC position is about to turn the tables a complete 180 degrees.

Get ready volnation, as the Bama fans will be coming by the 10s of thousands, and will be unbearable that weekend with so much blood in the water. Looking like they'll have the last laugh with Phil.:cray:

I'd like to think that no matter how bad our record is, a #1 ranked Bama comes to Neyland and we beat them ruining their season. From there on, they never win another game -- ever.

If Stephens gets the starter job and looks sharp against UGA, we may keep our tickets to the Bama game. If Crompton still plays and we look like we always look, we will probably sell.

That's the problem with the program... there is always this slight chance that we show up and play great and throw a #1 or #2 team off the tracks. Could be a huge win. But the way we have played this year leads to a 20+ point loss against Bama...

I have been looking forward to 10/25/08 since last year's debacle in bama.

I am of the opinion yet today that the VOLS rise up and beat bama in Neyland.

Go Vols 10/25 the Day of Redemption

PS: bama fans need not reply I am sure with your recent success trollers will be at an all time high. I don't care about your opinion, your coach, or your team...crow if you win 10/25, but I think the crow we see will be what you all are eating.

Yes I detest bama, yes I am irrational when it comes to bama...so what...I thought any VOL would feel the same.

I predicted a bama loss on vn live....if that happens I expect to be granted instant access to the ban button :)

A scary thought is that with so much discontent amongst Tennessee fans, many will decide to stay away from Neyland Stadium for home games.

I don't believe that those seats will remain empty though. I fear that Neyland Stadium will be a sea of crimson or blue. THAT would be the biggest disgrace of all.

No matter how bad things get, we cannot let Alabama or Kentucky take over Neyland Stadium this season!

i'm not sure that will happen, too many fans are just there to socialize and don't pay much attention to the games as it is.

The Alabama game is the one game I live for...Always has been, Always will be...I hate to think of my VOLS being a sacrifical lamb to those Guys...It turns my stomach....Your not a VOL if You can't get up for Bama...Theya re on a roll right now but as usual they will fall to some unranked team and Saban will compare it to 9/11...Hey, I personally wouldn't mind being that unranked buzz bomb that shocks them...Die Bama Die

If we can't get pumped about playing them, we are not true TN VOLS! They beat GA and suddenly they are on top....we beat GA last year worse than they did so what. We need to fill NEYLAND with every fan we can and show them that we are TN, win or lose, and we would never support AL and their high-priced coach who is only loyal to the almighty $. TN will come back...we just have NOT had the DISCIPLINE and FOCUS on what we need to do to win games this year. I wouldn't be an AL fan no matter what happens. They sold their souls to the DEVIL and sometimes that works for a while but we need to support our team and the changes we need will come. No one can keep a VOLUNTEER down!! GO VOLS!

A bama victory in Neyland will be bittersweet for the Tide...as much as they hate Fulmer, it's got to be frustrating to think that this might be their last chance to enjoy seeing him go head-to-head with Saban.

It will be payback for 1990. Who am i kidding Bama is gonna kill us. It would be nice to send them back home with a loss if they are #1 then.

Logic tells me that they'll kill us. But, I'm of the opinion that maybe this will the one game that the Vols get up for and hit on all cylinders to ruin Bama's NC hopes.

I really hope so. Go Vols!

if Crompton is the starter...we will get killed by Bama's defense...our defense will keep us in it for a while though...but I mean heck...if they are on the field practially the whole game like they were the FL game.....they will wear down

The odds of us beating Bama this year are about the same odds as a Twinky lasting 10 mins. in Phills office.
