I'm calling my shot. Mac closed practice this week in Gainesville.

Del Rio starts Saturday.

Why close it? There's plenty of film on Appleby.

Eh.. I doubt it. Now, they might be setting up some zone reads or something. But I'm pretty sure Appleby will start.

Callaway and LDR will both play if need be. Probably won't start, and won't play if they don't need them.

Do they have to release injury reports or is that just for the NFL?

When you poke the bear and turn around he bites you in the ass. Mac has something up his sleeve for sure. Probably a freshman we have never seen.

think about it this way...who do you want to match up against in our defense? to me, the obvious answer is the secondary. Mosley was a joke last week, and Martin has been prone to PI penalties.

match up their TE against our depleted LB corp.

i'd be working on a plan to take advantage of that, while avoiding our D line.

long story short, i'd close practice too. there's gonna be opportunities for them to get some in the passing game.

which is why our pass rush has to step up. if we can get pressure on the passer, it's going to be hard for htem.

if we don't, there's match up advantages for FL gainst our LB and secondary.

and then, all the sudden, they'll find a running game.

Appleby did quite a bit of zone read at Purdue. They are probably trying to add this to their repertoire for the game without UT thinking about it. Doubtful.
