First Year as TN Head Coach

Realistically speaking, I think a 6-6 season is the most likely situation. WVU, with Grier and the rest of their offense against a newly drawn up 3-4 defense, will cause problems. Winning one game of the UF, UGA, AU, UA stretch would be a success. Hopefully, this team figures out who they are and can maybe pull out a win at home against UK/Mizz and realize that UT should never lose in Neyland West.

I expect CJP to use what he has till he has what he wants to win now. Some coaches win with what's already there while others don't. CJP&S will figure this puzzle out and come out swinging for the fences.

I think you have your sports crossed up.:hi:

You have no idea.

Google, Jump higher Vols.

What's the football equivalent to swinging for the fences?

Hail Mary :)

Pruitt's certainly behind the 8 ball, with the surprising departure of several juniors, declaring for the draft. The cupboard about as empty as it's ever been at UT, so a 5-7 season may be the ceiling for this years squad, and no I'm not kidding:popcorn:

Basketball. That is that round thing right? Seriously though I have sincerely enjoyed the basketball this season. There is no reason we have to be either/or. Why can't we just be great at all of it?

The sports gods don't allow it.

No one can imo. When you’ve been absolutely throttled by Vandy for two years running, nobody is a gimme.

If we had the same HC running the same offense and defense I would agree.

But we don't and we won't.

I have no business guessing our plays as accurate as I did in 2017. A team studying film on the Vols had an easy day. How many times each game did it look like they knew the play. That's going back to Appy St in 2016 too.

Vandy is going to get crushed.

I would agree if Burch was still coach. He is not.

This year should be much better. We have a much easier schedule this year. West Virginia is not that good. They are over-rated. OOC is a breeze. Florida, Kentucky, Vandy, Missouri, and South Carolina are not as good as us. Auburn will be down this year. Should be a pretty good year.

No doubt.
