Long time Vol fan, I am not much on posting in forums but figured I would ask here.

I have read the visitor forum, and gained some knowledge but most appears to be from a few years back.

I am bringing the wife and daughter up for the South Carolina game and want to make sure I get to see the Vol walk. Can you please share what time you think they will start and where I should try to park myself to enjoy.
I am staying in West Knoxville, so getting up and going early is not a problem.

Anything going on after the walk, or do most head into the stadium and get ready?
Thanks for any and all information, Go Vols!

Band 10:20
Go to the Vol Village. They have music over there now too.
We park at the Blackstock lot by World's Fair park. Tailgate and walk over.

Don't miss the Vol walk and the band's salute to the hill. Times listed above.

Definitely walk in and out. Don't try to park too close or you will be stuck there for a long time after the game.

I think there will be more for the walk this weekend with all the hype for the game. If you just want to see the players and coaches as they come down, get on the wall somewhere near the steps (on the left in this pic). The players will coming down the hill towards the stadium (and people will probably not be that close...covid and all, but you know crowds.) Get there early. Crowds accumulate quickly.

After the Vol Walk is done, you can go down in front of the stadium and watch the band do their thing. They march across the bridge in front of the student center. Salute to the Hill. It's a cool thing to see too.

Park at Hall of Fame, walk to stadium by Calhouns and Navy, go to Manning Pass to see Volwalk, grab food at Vol Village, go to the Hill and wait for band salute to the Hill. When you get back to car, jump on Neyland and i40. Easy.

Market Square in town would be a place to go afterwards. Lots of restaurants and some shops that the rest of your party may enjoy.

How hard is it to get in and eat at Calhouns in a Friday night? Will be my first trip and have been told that’s a must place to eat or any other better choices to eat at.

Definitely have to take your daughter to see the VOL Navy. It's near the stadium and a great view of all the orange/white boats! Welcome.

There are other Calhoun locations if Friday is the time. Lenoir City Park, and Pellissippi at Kingston Pike. There will be a wait, but better than riverfront on gameday ( I would expect)

Get to the torchbearer and circle park early and enjoy the atmosphere. When the lines for the volwalk start forming, get in the front. Be in your seats by 11:40 for the band to take the field and there is going to be a cool flyover before the game.

You need to take it all in. There is a ton of stuff to do. Probably going to be hard to get it all in on 1 trip. I would defiantly go to circle park. Also, you must go to Pete's restaurant for breakfast. The memorabilia hanging on the walls is worth the trip.
Does Pete's have a good breakfast? My husband and I are going up tonight, breakfast might be nice in the morning seeing how it's close to Locust St. Garage.

For these Saturday early games I have a nice schedule
Parking is free at public garages downtown like Market Square and State Street.
Then I go for breakfast at Tupelo Honey.
Walk to the game from downtown but they have special buses at Krutch Park and Old City as well. But it's not a bad walk.
After the game, back to Market Square and if you could possibly get into The Stock & Barrel for a awesome burger or go to Clancy's for a drink. Good Times. However, I love the Jig & Reel in the Old City. Awesome menu and HUGE whisky menu.

Per the question about Calhouns. There are more than 2 locations as posted. Of course the one next to campus on the river is the one everyone remembers and you should be able to get in easily on Friday night. I think the rain is supposed to stop so the patio seats will be available as well. If full, my backup has always been Fieldhouse Social just west of campus. Great menu and adjacent to a huge VolShop

Get to campus to see the Vol Walk and then band's Salute to Hill. As a noon game, the campus party atmosphere will be a bit governed. Save the tailgate walk around for a later in the day game.

Wanted to thank all the posters who shared suggestions and gave all the great ideas.

We had an amazing time, the Vols winning was just the icing on the cake.

The Vol walk, the band before the game, the Vol network show, and all the amazing people I spoke with while taking it all in was awesome.

When the band performed during the pregame and then the opening of the T for the team to run thru is something that needs to be seen in person, not just on tv.

I will say the people in my section were probably not happy, but I stood and screamed alot, enough that I barely had a voice afterwards. I came to enjoy my Vols and must say, before I left the stadium I was already searching for flights to come back and watch them play Ole Miss.

Quite an impression was made and cant thank all of you enough for sharing. Go Vols.

I waited in line a few years ago for it and was not impressed. I had a basic eggs, bacon & biscuit type of meal, maybe pancakes/waffles are worth the wait.

That's where we planned on eating breakfast, the line was probably 25 yards down the sidewalk, so we kept walking.
