First trip to a soccer match at Regal, Sunday. Suggestions?

Buc ees would be neat especially if your guests have never been in one. But note there is no place to sit down inside to eat. You will have to take food outside and eat in car.
Appreciate that attention to detail. Unfortunately, they each have a Sunday commitment already and can't go.
So this'n will be a solo endeavor.

But I can leave earlier and take my time. Looking forward to appreciating the skills of our players, and to sampling The Paper Mill in Mt. Juliet and Gus's WFF Chicken!

Great trip! (this is about as Facebooky as I'll ever get)

Got to K-town a little early, so decided to check out the Knoxville McKays' Books. Scored two rare, out-of-print DVDs from my list (at half their online price, and one I'd been looking 5 years for), and a terrific reference book by one of my favorites from grad school.

So by then I was late, arriving in my seat only a minute before the start.
The people directing parking were friendly and communicative.
Gorgeous setting, beautiful field, and great view from the upper stands. Go see a game there! You won't regret it.

Our ladies are skilled, can seemingly fun forever, and were a delight to watch play. Impressive soccer on display! Highly recommended for young players to observe.

Sydney Miller (16) plays such a savvy game! Her play today was like field general and cavalry combined! She was everywhere, and always seemed to be playing 3 passes ahead, always finding the right place to be no matter how far she had to run. She just inspired confidence whenever she had the ball, or took an angle.

And Cayden really put in a tough, heavy day of work in the goal! She made some great highpoint tip saves, caught several in a crowd (coming down very hard on her back from one that seemed to take her breath away for awhile), and kept the corners of the goal pristine during regular play. That penalty kick was just a 50/50 crazy Ivan guess, and Ivan won that one. Cayden will be sore in the morning!

Loved the team's love for each other, and how much they obviously enjoy being together, before and after the match. Does your heart good to see!
------
After the game went back to McKays Books to finish searching the list (and some friends' lists I keep with me).
@MAD that forecast rain was quite a heavy deluge, but it delayed until I was inside McKays.

Food review:
Gus's WFF Chicken - was disappointed that they don't have livers on the menu. A shame, with that spicy coating. Gotta be honest and say the chicken was fine, but the baked beans and cole slaw were the best items on the platter. Next visit to Knoxville will definitely take me to Gus's Deli to try a steamed sandwich.

And if you're ever heading east out of Nashville, several miles north of I-40 on the Mt. Juliet exit, you need to have breakfast at The Paper Mill! I was enticed by the menu, but the food really lived up to it. Rosemary in sawmill gravy?😯
Oh YEAH!😋 I was surprised, but it really works! Their andouille sausage was even better than I remember having in New Orleans. And their homemade blackberry jam was just superior. I'll be looking for an excuse to get back there.

As good as the food was, the service--the sincere friendliness of the staff--stood out even more! Special people.

A great, full day, from 7am to 9:45pm. Thanks to all for your suggestions and information!

I just wrote a long well deserved response and suddenly Volnation reloaded. I’m gonna rewrite it in the morning.

Wish I could like your post 100 times.
