To quote a UT (pissed off) grad who's dad teaches there:

"You know this is the first time since 1988 that the game won’t be nationally televised? They are picking up the Fla-KY game instead. Oh well – I am just glad it isn’t pay-per-view. I don’t know why we can’t get all the UT games anyway. The SC game is at 6:45 on ESPN. Stupid chickens".

Maybe those fans miffed at the perceived slight should look in the mirror, first.

Games on LFSports...which thank heavens...we actually get up here in northern Indiana. I can watch it from a sports bar before heading into ND Stadium to watch USC beat the ever loving tar out of Notre Dame.

Win more.

:)

Seriously, now you know what it´s like to have to wait until 11 PM for the delayed telecast to see your team.

Oh, my God.....please tell there's not a Kentucky fan on our board busting our balls during football season.... :swoon3:

Unless we were undefeated, I'm still not sure it would matter. Woodson and Tebow are far more compelling players than anybody on the roster of either UTK or UAT. That would be a hard matchup for CBS to pass up regardless of how we were doing.

Agreed. I don't think its a coincidence that Kentucky has sucked for so many years but now is having a good season. Prior to this season, the Tennessee-Bama game had no competition and was a no-brainer for CBS to pick.

It's a joke that they are televising UF-UK at 3:30 nationally on CBS and Bama-UT, a much better game, is stuck on that terrible, low budget Lincoln Financial network with bad announcers.

Amen Brother...usually the Vols are on Regional telecasts...i.e. NOT Indiana...I can't wait to see this one!!!

Oh yeah, by the way the all knowing Charlie at ND changed QBs AGAIN...back to Sharpley...maybe Charlie should've stayed with the Pats...they're doing pretty good this year...:)

CBS will have picked up the better game if KY wins or UF wins in a close one, but if UF goes up there and blows them out it will only be exciting for that one CBS announcer who is having an affair with Tebow.

Well, part of the problem is this:

The UK-Florida game has been the 3rd Saturday in September, and has been on CBS several times in the past. It got moved this year to October. That´s why there´s actually competition for TV time.

We'll see how much competition there is for TV time next year when Woodson is gone and Kentucky is back to being a four-win team.

Kentucky actually has a chance to be as good or better next year. Curtis Pulley will be back for his JR. season. He´s the shifty QB that gave you guys fits 2 years ago, and actually beat out Woodson for the QB job in Spring of 2006.

Fits two years ago? I remember UT being in control throughout the game in 2005.

Sometimes ESPN takes two SEC games and puts one on ESPN2. I don't know how that works contractually, but it seems like this would have been an obvious week for ESPN to take both AU-LSU and UT-UA.
