They've actually been ranked above us in the polls I've seen as far as game day experience in the SEC that includes other activities such as tail gating. Us and Auburn are usually placed mid tier. LSU number 1 followed by Florida, bama, Georgia and A&M in no particular order. I hope to make an LSU night game soonTheir campus is nothing special. Its amoung the worst in the sec, ive been to nearly all of them.
Pretty good food though. Momna goldbergs is a sandwich show that is pretty good, its a classic there. If you want something a little better than that try Acre, or Amsterdam Cafe.
Have fun and hopefully there isnt a good vibe after the game there.
Went down there for the Auburn/LSU game two years ago, which happened to be Les Miles' last game. Thought the town was nice, campus and stadium even nicer, and people were friendly. I came away pretty impressed by the whole gameday experience. My wife and I ate at a BBQ place close to the stadium called Moes Original BBQ which was decent. Tickets were just dirt cheap because both teams had a rough start to the season IIRC. I'd go again Saturday but I have a 1 month old son now.
Overall, highly recommend going to Auburn for a game.
