I don't know if this has been posted or not, but here is a list of the first session enrollees on The Hill:

Eric Berry
William Brimfield
B.J. Coleman
Kevin Cooper
Lennon Creer
Chris Donald
Tyler Maples
Ben Martin
Denarius Moore
Gerald Jones
Kenny O'Neal
Ahmad Paige
Brent Vinson
Chris Walker
DeAngelo Willingham

Besides Vinson, O'Neal, Berry, Donald and Martin (the five star guys), what player or players out of this list, do you think will benefit from early enrollment and get playing time, aka not redshirt?

I think its safe to say Jones will play this year. Willingham should play, but that could depend on other factors. I think Moore and Maples will play as well.

IMO Martin and Donald will push hard for immediate playing time. Too good to be on the sidelines.

Donald will for sure be in the 2 deep, but our LBs are ultra deep.

exactly. We've converted a whole bunch of runningbacks, DB's, and DE recruits to LB. Donald may not get much pt this year, but I guarantee he will put a whoopin on someone on kickoff coverage this year. Who knows though, he may play some.

and i think donald will play some as a true freshman. probably a lot on special teams, and then if we are up big he could come in

I guarantee you Donald will be laying some hard licks to people. Some like we were used to seeing when Big Al was still here.

I got this on another board from a guy who knows someone on the team, and he said Brent Vinson and Gerald Jones ran BEAUTIFUL routes, and their speed was just as good if not better than advertised.

Donald is much bigger than McCoy was coming out of HS, and may be bigger than Rico already.

Rico is not the biggest of LB's. But he's a helluva football player.

Kevin Cooper will be a suprise recruit from this year's class. Look for him to get a lot of touches on swing passes and the occasional carry. Just a gut feeling

Cooper will be a very solid HB, especially considering we lose Brown and Holbert after this year and Coop may start next year.

You are right about Rico. He will be a superstar and, if Mayo returns next year, we could have one of the best starting trios at LB in the nation with Donald, McCoy, and Mayo.

Of course, the backups aren't too horrible either. Dorian Davis, Ellix Wilson, Adam Myers-White, LaMarcus Thompson, Savion Frazier, maybe Chris Walker, maybe Josh Hawkins, maybe Rufus Williams. Yeah, it could get scary.

Do some of these guys have potential at DE or SS? Wasn't Meyers-White talked about as being a candidate for safety It seems like we have quite a log jam at LB now...

Donald, McCoy and Mayo could be our strongest LB core since our '98 trio of Wilson, Raynoch and Westmoreland.
