Id like to see the SEC schools come together to sponsor satellite camps in Cinncinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York and Chicago. All SEC teams be represented and try to conduct these at the NFL facilities in each city.......They want satellite camps...give them ****ing satellite camps......

I understand they have to do it, but I think it would have been better for TN if there were no Satellite camps allowed, because we get a bigger advantage over other schools when kids are on campus. We get more to campus when they can come for a camp separate from a unofficial or official recruiting visit. Now it seems like some may just skip traveling to on campus camps and just wait for the camp to come to their home town.

I undertand what you are saying, but I think this is more for us to see kids, than for kids to see us. We will still get the ones to campus we want there. hopefully... and unfortunately this is the new state of college football recruiting. Thanks "Harball"

For some reasone I was thinking this was a no recruiting type deal. Meet, teach, and run drills, but no recruiting.

This will help us build the program we desire.

"There will be no recruiting at these camps."

"I am not a crook."

"I did not have sex with that woman."

"Germany will not invade Poland."

What do these statements have in common?

Wouldn't we rather these Atlanta kids be coming up to our campus for a camp in Knoxville and seeing our facilities. Seems like we will get less players to our campus because of this satellite camp stuff. The kids will just stay at home and wait for all the staffs to set up camps where they are. Hope our staff can stand out. without the benefit of our facilities to help.

Of course we would rather have them up here. And I agree with the spirit of every point you are making, but not the substance.

Sadly, those asshats at the NCAA rendered your points moot. If Harbaugh and his pack of clowns are going to be allowed to set up these camps, are you suggesting Butch sit in Knoxville and NOT do his own camps? No, he will just do it bigger and better. And this might allow our staff to meet a few they might have missed because they are way under the radar. And those are very BIG mights.

Stop worrying. Butch will get the players he wants on campus. The fact we have great facilities is no longer a big secret to HS players. Those who just wait for camps are ones we probably don't want anyway. And I hope Butch sets up a camp right in downtown Ann Arbor, and pulls a couple of star players right from under Harbaugh's nose. That will definitely change his stance on the idea once this whole thing blows up in his face.

Kids will still want to visit schools...will be an opportunity for coaches to be in front of more recruits then ever possible and sell them and convince more to come up.

If you have an opportunity to be face to face to recruits easily you have to take it.

I have an idea to stand out. They're 16-17-18 year old boys. The coaches could have like a sorority car wash in the background while they're talking. Those boys will be on campus in no time. I'm joking of course but I'm sure it would work!

It's all about recruiting. They may not sit down and try to persuade a player but the eyeballs will be looking all around to see who passes the eye-test. The coaches can tell a lot about a kids behavior by watching them.

So it's more like a College combine/ skills challenge. I wonder if they will grade them?

This will help us a lot. This year keeps getting better.

Heck go to Los Angeles County in SoCal. The population in that county is about the same as the whole state of Tennessee and talent is all over the place. We used to get a few out of Cali and the West, we need to crank that pipeline back up.

Who will be the 1st team caught recruiting?

I think we should take one week and run a specialized camp by position and have the player run it with the position coach, all proceeds go to Peyton's Place, and call it "Volunteer Work"

Butch can fly and visit each one throughout the week, while the OCs do the same thing.

We are better at this than the rest.

I like the satellite camps at NFL facilities idea (if that's even legal), but I don't think anyone wants to go to Cleveland or Detroit for any reason...

UF taking it straight to JH and Kirby by doing stand alone camps in Detroit and Atl.

I wish Tennessee would host a camp at my son's high school in Huntsville, AL. (Madison Academy)
