Been a long time reader, never posted 'til now.

I wouldn't be as concerned about next year if it wasn't for Troop leaving. I can't believe some people are happy to see him go. He was a hell of a coach, he kept the energy jumping on the sidelines, and he was a recruiting beast. I have trust that we'll fill in the holes pretty well, but I had high expectations for next year but now, well....you know that feeling when the cops are behind you and they flick on the lights? Yeh, I feel sick.

I want whatever it takes for us to lose less than 3 games a year, then move on from there. Clean the kitchen. Clean the living room. Clean the whole house if we have to.

UT is ranked 39th in recruiting and about half the staff is gone, including the best recruiter. Looks like the makings of a bad recruiting year.

It is amazing how enamored people by a coach who wears his hat backwards and does chest bumps.

Crucial Fumbles by RB's in 2005 and lack of deep routes this entire season is completely ignored.

The Vols usually finish recruiting strong. We need to bring in an "in your face", recruiting freak OC and get the hell back to where we belong. That is all....

We aren't going to have a very highly ranked recruiting class this year. I don't care if we bring in Ron Zook, Pete Carroll, and Urban Meyer. We're going after linemen, who don't get crazy star rankings, usually. Also, we don't have that many scholarships.

It's amazing how you ignore the good things he's done for UT. If you think somebodys gon come in here n fix everything, you're in for a surprise.

Losing 4 coaches from the staff is 4 less people recruiting for UT right now. These Include the recruiting coordinator (Luke) and the best recruiter (Taylor).

UT is 8th in the SEC in recruiting currently, behind SC and Ole Miss. UT may finish strong but over half the rivals 250 (4 and 5 star players) have already given a verbal commitment to a school.

I'm not spinning this, I'm simply stating what has happened and where UT stands in recruiting, draw your own conclusions.

Thank you

Vols Kick balls....thanks for the welcome?

I met Taylor last year before a game, dude is probably one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet. I can undertstand why people wanna play for him.

I play at Savannah State and he's a type of dude players dream of playing for. Not takin anything away from my coaches but trust me, kids love this dude.

Verbal Smerbal. IT is not in writing. They are fair game.
We got high marks in recruiting before Taylor. Changes are inevitable every year. These moves are not lateral moves but to OC and HC. Best of luck to them. We do the right thing and we will get a good class.

We will finish in the top 15 before it is over with.... Do not Panic yet. This is not suppose to be a big recruiting year for us... we have a lot of holes to fill on the Defensive Line and other None Skilled positions... What pisses me off is how spoiled we are about this whole thing... Recruiting and how we cannot recruit without Troop... We have given him to much credit... It seems like our recruiting depends on him and that just ain't the way it is... He was a great recruiter but we never rely on just one person to close a deal during the process..

Lots of posters calling for CPF's head when it usually comes down to assistants and position coaches. The HC is a manager and this may be a blessing in disguise. Troop may be a good guy, good recruiter, but he may be a so so coach. Time will tell. Personally I'm excited to see who we get and we can definitely expect something different next year.. It may be good or bad.. Just have to wait n see.

Great recruiting doesn't mean much when you don't have anything to show for it.

The boards are tainted anyway.... You can be number 1 on paper for years on end and not ever make it to a BCS game.... FL is an example and so are we.....These recruiting services provide evaluations based on Potential and are not like the combines in the NFL.... So the sticks of measurement are not as accurate for College prospects... Look at Recruiting Class ranking for OSU...Notre Dame since 2002. Plus Rivals and Scout have differences.
