Stokes is such a great role model and person. I hope he becomes a super star and I could see it happening. In years the NBa could be saying "Mama there go that man!"

I was not trying to denigrate one of our own, I thought he was a junior make a mistake, are you one of those that don't make mistakes, I hope he makes it.

It ain't the end of the world man. You may have had the idea in your head concerning the fact that he pushed hard to skip redshirting as a FR, so Pearl burnt it for very little PT. Could have given him his 5th year had he taken that RS.
Looks like he has a decent roster shot w 76ers tho.

Jarnell Stokes, Memphis Grizzlies

There is perhaps no better fit in terms of player and team ethos than Stokes and the Memphis Grizzlies. He simply outworks the competition, refusing to relent an inch of space. You underestimate him because of his height, right up until the point where he either swats your shot or dunks on you with his condor-like 7-2 wingspan. Sunday, Stokes posted a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds, bullying the block on both ends. He even showed flashes of a developing jumper, hitting a nice turnaround from just a few feet beyond the block. Right now, Stokes relies too much on his strength and, for lack of a better word, grit. He'll bully teams down low, but more than a few times, he has been caught without a plan.

HAHAHA that is a great write up. I get what he means when he said "more than a few times, he has been caught without a plan". Accurate.

Stokes will make it and have a impact in the NBA, not saying he will be a ALL STAR but he will play at least 10 years in the NBA, and be rolling in the cash, now on the other hand McRae will have a hard time even making a roster and probably play over seas, he bite more off than he can chew at this time, he should have stayed his final year.

It does and I think he will be a decent/good NBA player but he is not playing against many NBA players right now.

That is very true, but you could compare his stats to other "NBA lock" bigs and I think he would more than hold his own. Julius Randle will be one to watch, I doubt he puts up better numbers in Vegas than stokes has been (so far).

If Stokes wasn't a rebounding machine and didn't have the ability to anticipate where the ball will carom, he wouldn't be playing basketball

Isn't Randle hurt though?

Not really.....u can't compare bc it's like a more competitive rocky top league. Stokes has shown he can play which will enhance his chance to make the roster.

Not really. Players are playing their hardest to make a team so they play defense and play hard. Yeah the talent level isn't the same as the actual NBA. But he's playing against some of the best rookies/sophomores.

Not really.....the teams are full of UFA and 2nd round picks trying to make a team with a few legit NBA players scattered throughout. Either way Stokes has earned a long look which is what's important....I'm hoping McRae does the same....love to have him n my sixers.

Seriously? There's hardly any comparison between RTL and NBA summer leagues. Players' jobs are on the line.

Meaning that u can't compare stats bc most of the guys are not going to make an nba roster that are playing in the league. It's a thrown together league with very few practices.
