Fire Fulmer.

So return to the old ways of Haslam's and (Insert handpicked AD Yes Man here)?????

LET'S FREAKING GO
There are more options than Haslam or Fulmer. Both should probably have an opinion on the way forward for Tennessee. Neither should have final say nor should have control of the program.

No. Firing him as coach was what started this mess we've been in for more than a decade. Firing him as AD will make everything that comes next exponentially harder.

He's a bright fella, he understands both the sport and the business, he loves the University with every fiber of his being. He's absolutely the right person for that job.

Leave him the hell alone.
He has never had athletic director experience. That's what got us in this mess. Now he's just too stubborn to admit he was wrong and end his little experiment

Fulmer lost games b/c the game past him by (and b/c the quality of coaches in the SEC improved dramatically).

Fulmer hired Pruitt b/c he secretly admires Alabama and wants UT back in that space. Pruitt is a defense/run guy - so is Fulmer. They're cut from the same cloth. Old school.

Fulmer will never hire a "west-coast", "pro-style", etc. head coach. That is not in his DNA which is one reason why he got fired from UT in 2008.

Watch UT wax WVU in the bowl game.....then what? Not saying it will happen but it will only delay the inevitable.

Fulmer and Pruitt may be around but the fans won’t. Good luck writing that check to Pruitt with no income coming in next season
Just an observation, don't take my response as overwhelming support. Both Pruitt and Fulmer are over their collective heads in their respective positions. I'll still support the Vols on the field because I can't imagine not doing so, but my expectations are at an all-time low.

There’s zero reason to make any coaching change until the AD is cleaned out. We need to get better people in charge before we make any change in coaches. Pruitt is awful, probably the worse coach in the history of the program, but we cannot expect better if we don’t have the right people in charge of making our next hire.
Can someone get someone to paint fire Phil on the rock ?

Sounds like he made his decision...now it’s not his to make anymore. When your superiors have to do your job, you’re not long for it.
Remember when Phil said it was his job to get Tennessee football back to a good place? Well, he has failed miserably and its obvious its time to go. No do-overs

Currie had his press release with all the flowery accolades and confidence highlighted...an hour before Schiano got left at the hangar.

Lol who the hell calls USMA “West Point”that actually graduated from the school? I don’t want to talk about anyone’s service record but you’re probably a guy that graduated from ranger school and call yourself an army ranger. Just stupid to inject that into this.
Skippy, you must be on some record setting number of posts. You joined, what, ten days ago? I think I had your number of posts after about a year. Maybe come up with something worth posting before you dive in. Sometimes less is more.

If he is hitching his wagon to Pruitt, I’d fire both of them now. But, if allowed to go into next season, and it’s another disaster, please fire them both then.
I agree.
Fulmer and his failure need to hit the road.
It could be so easy for Fulmer.
Make a statement that things aren’t working out and in the best interest of the program a change must be made, yada, yada, yada.
But no, you’ve got a case of stubborn and more stubborn in those two........

Any ideas of a new AD? Phil gotta go crap ,is dumb as Grudin is wearing a orange tie crap. Phil lead us to promise land once. Hopefully he will do it again. That's what we got and stand up or just keep the whinny baby talk to writing on Pilots bathroom walls.

Defenders of Fulmer are defenders of Pruitt. Y’all are happy with mediocrity. Get the heck off your high horse and fire every last damn one of em. Turn in your vol card. Turn in your fan card. Turn in your dang diploma if you’re talking like this. We need drastic change tonight.
Not happening. Rebuilding Tennessee is a five year job. Changing coaches every three years will just put us further behind. Do you really think they will hire anyone'better?
