Ahh, a Wisconsin team who's beaten no one, and a Northwestern team that would be lucky to beat any of the top 10 teams in the SEC. You continue to prove my point. The Big 10 sucks. And, you're now to the point of bringing up Northwestern to justify that Penn State somehow has a dominant defense. Here's a hint for you: they don't.

Ok at no point did I ever say dominant, so not sure what you've been reading AND since you can't read the entire post I'll state my point plain and simple. Dooley will never get Tennessee to a BCS bowl EVER.

Your point's stupid. You're about as misinformed as anyone I've read on here in a while, so your little stupid prediction probably bodes well for Dooley and company. And another hint for you: no one gives a damn about your little opinion you've pulled out of your ass. I'm not a fulmer fan, as you know. Firing fulmer was the right decision. If we fail with Dooley, it will be because we hired the wrong guy not because we fired fulmer. There was absolutely nothing to suggest fulmer was about to or was capable of having us win at a respectable level. That deserves firing. Whether Dooley turns out to be successful won't change the fact that it was time to part ways with fulmer. Is that clearer? And I've decided to be civil with you from now on, Alaska, so I won't bite on any insults you throw.

You are always the first to impugn the intelligence of others. I hope you do remain civil. Could you be a liitle more specific concerning the level of performance you think DD has to attain over the next 1 or 2 years to keep his job. Just make it to a bowl or 9 wins by the forth year? Apply some objective, easy to measure performance standards. Like the lsat or mcat. I will remember them for you.

If coaches don't teach fundamentals in college, why do they recruit players that are athletic but raw like Daniel Gray. Somebody has to teach the raw players the fundamentals and develop them.

Assuming everyone remains healthy, no less than 8 wins is acceptable next year for me.

I don't know if I'd start putting out national championship game requirements. We need to start competing in the east next year. If we don't, then it's time to start evaluating things.

It sucks Alaska because the majority of us are actually really nice people and easy to get along with but I guess theres always a few bad apples in every fanbase

Who is going to be interested in a job where the fanbase unrealistically expects instant success with the players another coach recruited? How much money does UT have to throw out there to get someone other than an OVC coach interested in the job?

John Gruden isn't coming here. Peyton Manning isn't coming here. Jesus Christ isn't coming here. Let Dooley serve the remainder of his contract, give him time to improve on the mess left by Lane Kiffin and Fulmer. If things aren't better by the end of 2014, then you get rid of him.

It comes down to coaching when every game this season Tn has had to burn multiple time-outs because they couldn't get the right play in, the players lined up in the right spots, or the right substitutions. It is all coaching when for some reason we have failed to score in the second half of something like 5 or 6 games. This coaching staff has shown no improvement in that aspect from last year to this year. I agree we will get beat when the talent is far more superior than ours, but even when that happens, the team should at least be able to do these things. Bring out the paper bag brigade against vandy...
