Most coaches are going to coach out the season. Bama had to wait until January for Saban. The LAST thing we need is another three day type search.

I think we should hire Jim Mora, Sr. and that way when the playoffs start in a couple of years he can bust out his line in the post game presser after a loss to UGA or Bama.

I've stayed somewhat reasonable, but I am going to have too agree. Dooley should've been out of here after a team that HE coached got beat by a WR playing QB on a team coached by Joker Philips with RANDY F'N SANDERS as their OC ; A TEAM WE HADN'T LOST TO IN ALMOST 30 YEARS.

Not only that, over the past 3 years, the man had systematically disabled our already weak in state recruiting. AND HE LET HIM HANG AROUND UNTIL WE GOT DESTROYED BY VANDERBILT.

Now he wants us to be patient so he can hire a guy with just a notch above Dooley type resume?

He better hit this out of the park.

The issue is that 10 days have passed since we fired Dooley and it appears Hart has yet to start the process. Looking more and more like he will bring in a Nobody

This exactly.

STOP GIVING HART THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT! You people gave Dooley the benefit of the doubt for 3 years and he ran our program into the ground. Hart hasn't done anything to inspire confidence. He's going to basketball games when he needs to be out there wooing coaching candidates or interviewing guys in depth to gauge who has what it takes to get this program back to competing in the SEC.

Somedays this makes my head hurt....seriously here's the thing...Hart is a winner....with or without Gruden I believe Hart will do well...will you be giggling like a school girl with the hire...maybe not, but I think he will help create something this program has been lacking....winning mentality...no more "comes down to the last play" mentality....that's a big picture we all gotta start having faith in....

i actually think that Hart is tired of the leaks and has completely locked down the Department in complete silence.

I agree with keeping the whole process quiet, and tight until the ink is dry. I actually don't think that the fan base can offer ANY value, ANY opinion on this that matters so we should just shut up and wait.

This is stupid. If Gruden wants to come to UT Hart will sign him, if he doesnt want to there isnt anything hart can do about it but find someone else.

I agree. Gruden was more than likely not coming no matter who the AD was.

My gripe with Hart is that it seems (and he could prove me wrong) he is completely unprepared. He waited way too long to start the process and is now behind the 8-ball and competing with a lot of other schools who are just as appealing as UT money-wise. If he makes a complete bust hire, he will be fired in 2-3 years and we'll re-start the process again. My prediction: most likely he will not get a "big splash" hire (just not many out there willing to come) and we will just have to wait & see how it turns out. Couldn't be worse than Dooley.

Wow...Gruden isn't the only coach out there. I don't care how excited it would make the fanbase. The thing that is hard for folks to understand is we are back to square one. The only difference is this time we have some decent young talent. Tennessee's glory days are too ancient for high school kids now so just showing up isn't enough anymore. The candidates most dismiss only do so because his name isn't Gruden. Everyone called for Dooleys head and now that they got it, they want someone now. This is ridiculous. Ppl need to be patient and wait to see what is going to happen before jumping off a cliff

In total agreement. Waiting 10 days after you fire Doofus to start the process stinks of being arrogant or unprepared. He will lose alot of fans in the stands if he hires a no name or God forbid Kirby (I hate Bammers) Smart
