I think Butch wanted out last year and no one would take him. Half azzed it just enough this year to get fired and take his grand theft buyout with him. I also don't think firing him at any point this year would have made much difference. The things that were broke couldn't be fixed quickly. The injuries too have been unreal for two seasons. Something was screwed up in Jones's methods.

The concept of firing Currie is the absolute stupidest thing posted in this already crazy season. People are already saying this has been one of the best run searches going. I for one firmly believe we will get the best coach available who will actually take the job.

WOW!!!! Off the ledge there bud! The hire hasn't even been announced and your ready to jump! I think it speaks volumes that we have an AD that can conduct a coaching search without a bit of credible info being leaked throughout the process... and yes.... it is a process. Last time I checked you couldn't go to wally world and but a championship winning coach, You probably wouldn't know cause I'm sure you shop at Dick's!!!:rock:

You know what looks good to potential head coaches?

Firing an Athletic Director because there were some rumors about potential head coaches that fans didn't like. Not hiring a coach and him turning out to fail, not even hiring the coach in the first place...RUMORS. Vague, unconfirmed rumors. Yeah, I'm sure coaches would jump at the opportunity to join that organization.

You have lost your ****ing minds. I hate to see what kinds of decisions you make at your real jobs, because I sure as hell hope you aren't in charge of anything important.

I love Currie for 1 simple reason. He is 100%unaffected by the patients in this asylum. He said we'll know who the coach is when he walked to the podium and told us. No dog and pony. No theatrics. No lies. He doesn't give2 ****s what WE want or say. He is doing his job. Loving that many can't handle that.
