UGA’s WR got zero separation that game. Cager played a quarter or so before injury and then USC just locked down Landers and Simmons with man coverage. Its crazy to me they started games at UGA. They wouldn’t start at any other SEC school, yet attrition led them to see significant snaps that game. Think Pickens/Blaylock started getting more snaps after that game. One thing I don’t like about Smart’s system is playing the best blocking receivers rather than best overall receivers. Pickens and Blaylock should’ve been ahead of Landers and Simmons, blocking ability or not. If smart doesn’t learn that bully ball doesn’t work any more then he’s hit his ceiling.
