I realize the Vols have had an extreme amount of injuries this season, but...

we should have beat South Carolina and their high school QB.

The hell does injuries have to with Dobbs throwing interceptions and missing wrs??

Butch telling a 240 lb battering ram to run sideways??

Get this crap out of here...

Our coaching staff has failed to develop the talent we have. They are somewhat inept at game planning and absolutely refuse to get away from a bad plan even though they know it's not working.

Even when we were healthy at the beginning of the year we sucked and got lucky.

But anyone that brought anything remotely critical up was told:

We're 1-0!

We're 2-0!

We're 3-0!

We're 4-0!

We're 5-0!

Anyone with a reasonable brain could see this wasn't going to last.

Now that UT is 5-3 those same people are beside themselves.

...still no excuse for the offense to be this bad. Defense can cry injuries, the offense just sucks.

Even with the injuries on defense we allowed a High School Senior and trush Freshman RB and young WR on USCjr to roll us. How does that excuse stand?

Don't care how many backups you have in, you should still be able to not make Opie Taylor look like Tom Brady.

Stating the obvious here once again, play-calling sucks, Dobbs can't throw down-field with reasonable accuracy, and Butch Jones too bull-headed to admit HIS mistakes. He wants to live & die with one QB--so be it! Give me Petrino, the Ark coach, Mike Leach or Art Briles--light the scoreboard up. If I didn't know better, which I don't, I'd think Fulmer was Butch's chief advisor. Having said that, Fulmer would not have been as successful as he was without Chavis & Cutcliffe. This loyalty to DeBord is honorable but I'm just wondering if it is misplaced? I don't think all of this can be attributed to DeBord. It rests at Butch's feet IMO.

Games/seasons are to determine the best TEAMS. Not the best starting 11. Building depth, doing what it takes in season and offseason to stay healthy, are part of it. Injuries, whether ours or Florida's or UGA"s or whoever are part of the game and are not an excuse.

Question??? Is it worse to lose to a high school QB or a wide receiver at QB? :dunno:

I realize the Vols have had an extreme amount of injuries this season, but...

...the offensive gameplan has been atrocious from the moment we kicked off in 2013, and there has been no evolution in that regard since, other than the talent level of the players executing it. There have been no adjustments to cater the offense to the talent on the field, and the players that best fit it often sat behind those with seniority. They have done an exceptionally terrible job of developing players on top of that.
