Everyone by now has heard of Marshall. It's not like UT would be settling. Common fans would be excited that we brought in a Final 4 coach.

Marshall is following CCM. Big difference than coming in after Pearl. He would have much more fan support than what CCM has had. Fair or not.

Everything bad that happens the next couple years will be blamed on the way CCM has left the program. Marshall will still get fan support.

Pearl will hopefully stumble a couple years at Auburn to keep the Pearl followers silent.

You are wrong on so many levels. Marshall can recruit go look at his last class (may not have a ton of 5 stars but its still better than our current class)... also he took his team to the final four so he can coach pretty damn good too.

Why would Marshall leave for UT? We are about to loose our coach to a team that lost their coach to Virginia Tech. If you are a coach worth top dollar, you are worth it somewhere other than UT apparently. If Va Tech is higher up the coaching chain than UT, where the hell do you think we rank as far as jobs go? If you are a hot, up an comer, why risk your career coming to a football school with an unrealistic fan base and poor recruiting area? Why not wait until a winnable situation arises?

Martin took UT deeper in the tourney this year with less talent.

My point is he may have a bad personality etc.. but he is a WINNER so if he wins the fan base will not like Marshall but LOVE him.

On recruiting, Marshall hasn't been at big name program for you to know that he can't recruit. He understands his school limitations at Wichita St and recruited to his style if play and those players beat us each time and had much more success. I guess those players aren't too bad.

They had two three star commits and 3 that weren't ranked in its last class.

We had one four star and three three stars.

We won't pay a new coach more than a couple Mil so I'm expecting a new or up and coming coach...

There were a lot of people who said Butch Jones had no experience recruiting with the big boys and would stumble in getting good talent but I think ole Butch is proving you can do a lot more at a major university.

Call Marshall, Frank, Shaka and Howland first. Don't expect any of those but at least call. Then Danny Manning and Archie Miller. (imagine what Manning could do with Stokes or AJ Davis). Then La Techs coach Michael White and Donnie Tyndell. Then Wojo last.
