Seldom watch, but just heard 3 in a row drunk callers. Can someone who actually admits to watching or listening verify if this is the norm?

Don’t normally watch either but there was a good segment with Trey Wallace today.

I think that's how Paul made his bones back when he was doing his show locally in Alabama. The drunker you sound like you are, the more likely you are to be put on the air.

Guys, if any of you want 100% Absolute Pure Entertainment, then take 15-20 minutes and listen to Harvey Updyke (AU tree poisoner) call in to Finebaum and 1st Out himself, then 2nd Call back in Apology during his trial. I can't deal w watching PF, but you will NOT be disappointed w that audio.

Here, I'll make it easy ... 🤣😄💰😂

I tried watching his show once but, when the calls came in, it sounded like some Alabama in-bred handed the phone to his uncle/daddy Cletus at the moonshine family reunion. Before that, I didn't know Junior Samples and Ernest T. Bass had made a baby.

I think some of them are just really, really stupid. And some of them are drunk too. He obviously funnels those idiots that call every day right on in there. Otherwise he'd be off the air, I guess.

Can’t fix stupid.
While Well intentioned that statement is not entirely true, 220 grains of .45 hollow point fixes criminal stupid and Darwin usually fixes a lot of hold my beer and watch this moments.
Paul Finebaum is generally a nice guy making entertainment in the same vein as Jerry Springer for SEC sports or like folks who watch Wraslin like WWE. People watch and tune in because its funny as hell listening to the whos your daddy moments and smack talk. I listen occasionally for just that but its background noise while I'm working on the computer or cooking in the kitchen. If he has a good guest on Ill try to tune in that timeframe. Those inbred Uncle Cletus moments @Special Ed referenced and occur for about 3/4 of the show, do make it hard to listen to.

As soon as those government credit cards get reloaded on the 1st of the month the drinking and drugging hits a peak the more entertaining Finebaum becomes. The closer to the end of the month as his callers go dry the less entertaining his show is.

Not talking about Paul. I actually like him when he's talking football and analysis...think at heart, he's a Vol fan, and especially likes the Pruitt (Bama) tie in. The only time I can tolerate below normal intelligence callers is when they are from a rival team who just lost a big game...all the better when UT is the cause for dismay...which hasn't happened too frequently.

LOL, VN needs to step back and look in the mirror. Pot meet kettle.
I really wonder if there is a show that Volnation could collectively get behind. It’s like we need a state run media radio show. We could get the “It’s Football Time” magazine guys to do a radio show where every season we have 8 All Americans and projected for the CFP or NY6 and maybe that would do the trick.

I swear Herbstreit could say “ I see the Vols going 8-4 this season.”

VN Poster “ Herbstreit doesn’t know what he’s talking about, we’re at least going 10-2. I don‘t even watch Gameday anymore. Haven’t watched in 10 years. ESPN hates us.”

Same VN Poster 5 minutes later “Man we’re nothing more than a .500 team with this group.” SMH

If you’re able to call into a tv show in the middle of the afternoon you’re probably retired or unemployed. Both types have most likely been drinking which adds to the mush mouth.

“Aye aye aye Paw, row tide row.” *hiccup*
eise takes accepchion to that thar premise that's youse sprouted that.

The hate Vol grads or folks from Tennessee have for the Vols stems from feeling slighted in some way. Just like Spurrier even though he's not a UT grad. Finebaum has some axe to grind most likely for UT...for some unknown reason.
