Finebaum says UT is OM homecoming game

Meanwhile, Kirk is showing UT some respect again. "If Ole Miss just shows up today they could lose, they better be ready to roll."

Is there any particular reason as to why he dislikes UT so much?? I realize one might attend a certain school and not necessarily be a fan but what's the deal?

I'm not sure of his reason. But from one of his interviews with a former classmate at UT he was a douche to the coaches. They banned him from communicating with the teams, not sure of the details. So it seems he always had something against UT, who knows.

If we continue firing and hiring coaches every 2-3 years then we'll always be 2 years away. Some around here don't seem to understand that.
so we should have kept Dooley? Or are you saying butch gets a pass until year 4? Please tell me who we fired in 2-3 years that should have remained

Fine bum just said it will be hard for Ole Mess to take Tennessee seriously. I only hope that clown is right.

The guy seems to have a real hatred for the school he graduated from. I personally could care less about his opinion, but I just wonder what made him so butt hurt to talk so much trash about UT

Finebaum just said he wasn't a UT alumni anymore. Is it possible to hate a guy more than this douche bag?

Lighten up Francis, he was joking to get a cheap cheer from the OM crowd. He probably likes Bama more since he's covered them so long, but i'm pretty sure he still likes his alma mater.

Leave it to Finebaum to be the one who mentioned OM scheduled TN for homecoming citing they used to schedule Tx Tech for these.

Bright side? Freeze said Tn reminded him of OM last year.

Some similarities. But we won't have an experienced, playmaking qb next year, we'll likely take a decent step back at the most important position on the team. And then there's the offensive line .......

That statement does not change the following facts: "Finebaum was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Paul attended Christian Brothers High School and White Station High School in Memphis, [and the] University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he received a liberal arts degree in Political Science" (Paul Finebaum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Formally distancing himself from the University of Tennessee does not negate his status as an alumnus; he may be ashamed of that status but, in my opinion, it simply discredits him as a source of factual information, whether or not the comment was made tongue-in-cheek. More importantly, those of us who are proud of our degrees from the University of Tennessee will be more than happy to formally disown this Benedict Arnold. :machgun:

I never bought into the "Finebaum is a self hating UT alum" stuff until I heard him say that this morning.

Any UT hate directed at that guy is 100% justified.
