Finebaum said Fulmer

Even though Cutcliffe told Currie no, I have a feeling he could be back in play with Fulmer as AD. Fulmer said himself that "someone who wasn't interested before maybe interested now". I personally would like to see Coach Cut come back and finish his career at UT. Make Tee the OC/ head coach in waiting knowing that Cut will retire in the next 3-5. Get Steele here for DC and you would kinda have the "band back together"

I would be happy with Kiffin as the HC as well.

I think Cutcliffe may be back on the table now too. Although I have heard people say he has heart issues, and you have to admit he would be walking into about as stressful of a coaching situation as one can find.

Spurrier at Florida seemed to work out well for them. Chryst at Wisconsin seems to be doing good.
I also remember some success at Tennessee with Majors and Fulmer.

The best programs now have head coaches that had nothing to do with the team. See Saban, Meyer, Stoops and Carroll. I don't believe Mack Brown had anything to do with Texas either. Other than being their WRs coach for a couple of years, Swinney had no ties to Clemson
