Lol we aren't hiring a staff full of VFL's, nor should we. Also want no part of cheif and his prevent defense.

Agreed. I love the guy but Butch couldn't be stopped by Chief, didn't we roll up an ungodly amount of yardage on his T A&M defense?

Slide Cutcliff in at HC (perhaps he'll reconsider) and put Tee at OC (HC in training). Steel at DC. Not the time for Tee to go straight to the Head Coach role.

Cut? Cut our throat is more like it with that move.

Help me out here!!! Why do I keep seeing TEE for HC? He is just a half way decent OC! Why have they kept him thru coaching changes? Don't know! Maybe he's gotten something on the AD. Maybe Poop Dawg has made threats of racism if he cans him. Tee took an extremely talented team that Phil recruited who were excellant as sophmores and juniors when manning played. And next year as juniors and seniors were even better and went undefeated only thanx to a freak fumble by Arkansas QB to allow Tenn back in to win. Without that freak play Vols would have lost the SEC Championship and the national Championship.

That's correct! Without the Ark fumble we wouldn't have made it to the NC game. We were beat, all Ark had to do was run the clock out & the QB stumbled, fell backwards and fumbled. Name escapes me, Clint Sterner?

PLEASE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY MAKE IT SO!!!!!!!!!

AMEN

PS I heard Big AL this morning. Somebody get him in with these players now!

PSS See ya Colton Jumper!

no need to take a cheap shot at Jumper. He was frustrating to watch at times. It was not his fault there were not better players ready

Fulmer says he's confident of the Vols' future. So am I. Under his guidance UT will hire a mediocre coach who guides the team to multiple seasons of five or less wins. Good thing he's getting that victory lap everyone feels he so richly deserves.

Was there not also some freak weather that moved a UCLA/Miami game, significantly affecting the rankings? Maybe not the same year.

Ainge is like a 12 year old. Seriously, mentally and emotionally.

He was also a Butch choir boy.

Sports animal is full of it, I can't listen to that crap. It's like hearing CNN or something.

It sounds like ainge is drunk everyday and Brian rice is his babysitter.

Would be the one to get the UT gang back together.

HC - Steele
OC - Tee
DC - Chief

On a side note:
Peerless Price said he would like to get in and coach WR.

I also heard the podcast interview of Al Wilson from the Swain Event and Al implied he would love to help the young athletes.

I bet Eric would help if needed.

This would be a great coaching staff.

Yikes. That would be a recipe for disaster... but I'm willing to be it's exactly what happens (except Tee).

They broke up the good ole boy crew and now it’s back. Keep my fingers crossed and see what happens.

Frankly, I am shocked that Finebaum took his head out of Saban's ass long enough to come up with such a well thought out answer about the UT situation (that was sarcasm on my part).

Kevin Steele will not be the head coach at UT. Marion Hobby has a better chance of that. Come to think of it Marion would be a great choice as the defensive coordinator. Clemson has him on their short list if Venables were to leave. Maybe Hobby is happy at Jax and not interested in the college grind. Who knows?

Finebaum is a toxic person in my opinion. He has never passed up the chance to stick it to his old school.

This what makes me feel like people do think like me been a fan for over 30 years and never miss a game and can not pull for another team or not watch the Vols . And if I was like them a would want to help heck I wish I could but I will never be able too but this is what makes me such a fan cause we have the best players and the best fans . I love Tennessee

I think Fulmer got Majors fired to get the head coaching job. Did he do the same to Currie?

We need Al Wilson involved somehow

There’s not a single former Vol player who would be an excellent HC hire right now. Cooter is the closest and he’s solidly in the NFL

I don't want Tee, or JBC, but Tee would be better than JBC
