The bridge between sports and politics is increasingly growing as of late. The latest development is from the media perspective, though. According to a report from Clay Travis, ESPN and SEC Network media personality Paul Finebaum is considering leaving his position in the sports world to run for the U.S. Senate in the state of Alabama.

The report from Travis notes that Finebaum would run as a Republican candidate and that the assassination of Charlie Kirk plays a role in this seemingly sudden interest in becoming a politician.

On his pod, McShay called Paul Finebaum an "all-time coward" and then stopped himself, asking 'Is it October 1st yet? Another few days, and I can let it all fly." 🚨 🚨 🚨

Has anyone ever watched Paul's show and felt entertained? it is pretty boring imo. Not sure what is so great about taking calls from dip $hits in bammer land rambling on about incoherent nonsense.
it always makes me uncomfortable. like I feel bad for how stupid it is. and not stupid as in IQ of the callers, like stupid in how its managed. One of the main reasons is just how useless Finebaum is as presenter.

Its a Jerry Springer show about college football with Ben Stein from Ferris Bueller running it.

it should be entertaining but Finebaum doesn't have a personality.

Sure, but he's filling four hours on SEC network. 4 hours! That's gonna create a big hole no matter how much the show sucked.

They could set up a side podium on the floor for him to do in session color commentary. That'd be a hoot.

Full of crap. Wrong most of the time. No accountability. Never shuts up or gets embarrassed....yep, he'd make a great politician.
