Finebaum just picked us to win the East!! Is the world ending!? He said the only team we will lose to is Bama, but it would be a blood bath in the championship game! We're going to be the 2016 Natl Champs!

Finebaum has been on the Tennessee hype train since the end of last season.

I don't know why yall are acting surprised?

I think we're the only team he'll be happy for if we beat Saban and Bama.

I remember listening to him the week of the TN BAMA game last year and he predicted that Bama would win but we would give them all they can handle and the final score would be close. He has been saying that 2016 will our year since last season.

This shouldn't be a shock at all. We are the favorites of the East because we deserve to be. We are loaded with talent and experience plus we have our two biggest at home.

Exactly.
After years of having nothing to do with UT, he did indeed jump on board once we established ourselves as a favorite.
So he is probably accurate but I doubt anyone truly cares. Hard for him to throw up the T after years of turning his back.

Look, his opportunity to make a really good living for many years was as a Bama homer. Now, his opportunity is as an SEC homer. He went all-in on the former, and now he's all-in on the latter. He's actually damned good at his job. I have no hate for the man, and I can appreciate the job he's done all along. He has about the only thing on the SEC Network worth watching outside of the football season.

Even Crazy (Lee) Corso will be picking us this year, and for those of you not that familiar with Corso, his picking us in the past has been the ultimate kiss of death.

Considering that for years he has both lived and worked in the middle of Bama country, it is easy to see why he cast his lot with Bama. He recognized who his core audience was for many years.

Now, he is the face of the SEC network and, as a result thereof, is one of the chief voices for the entire conference. Like any intelligent person, he has adjusted his presentation accordingly.
