I'll go ahead and start a thread for Gus. Great offensive mind, a winner, great recruiter, knows the sec. Make sure he brings in a proven DC(Shannon?) And I think you can create some buzz.

I like Gus myself. Heck, even Gus Fring could do better than Dooley.

Irrespective of his bona fides, I just don't think he has the star power to be a strong candidate. JMHO

He had one outstanding season, adn like Chizik, you gotta wonder if that should all be attributed to Cam Newton.

Yeah, I'd take Malzahn if I had to. I think there's a chance he could be a good head coach in this league.

If the guy walked in the room, I wouldn't recognize him.

Something is fishy about leaving Auburn for Ark State. My thoughts are he saw some crooked crap going down and jumped ship. The NCAA has been all up in the Barns junk.

Malzahn wouldn't leave Arky state. If he wouldn't leave for Arkansas, he wouldn't leave for us.

Seriously, I'd like to see us go after a defensive guy just as a fundamental shift in paradigm.

Not even related directly to this season's struggles, it's just necessity to play hard nosed defense in this league right now.

Majors, Fulmer, Kiffin, and Dooley were all offensive guys.

I think Malzahn is a good coach, I just would like to see a shift and I also think we'll be looking over our shoulders at Arkansas if he were to come here.

Fair enough just looking for a coach with some different ideas about things. I personally would give my pinkie toe for chip kelly, someone like that.

I'll tell you, after the smoke cleared on Leavitt, I am back on board with him big time.

Realistic candidate from what I can see and he definitely has the credentials.
