Now we can let the real campaign begin. All other GOP candidates are just fakes and frauds anyways.

The very fact that Romney is mentioned in the same breath as Obama should enough reason to 86 him from the GOP ticket.

Ron Paul told you fools what was gonna happen in 2007/2008, but you wouldn't listen. Now he has to come in and clean up the mess that Bush, Obama and the rest of Congress have made.

Why does Ron Paul secure so many earmarks for his district? Not really practicing what he preaches

Ah. Figures. I figure somebody none of us expect ATM will be on the front of the ticket by the time the rubber meets the road.

Wrong. He always votes with the constitution. He votes down his own earmarks. Not his fault everybody else votes yes. It's the only way for Paul to uphold the constitution and not completely screw over his district at the same time. Why should they pay for federal development in other districts and get nothing themselves just because they have elected the only guy who votes with the constitution?

It's completely consistent with his principles and the constitution. If every congressman followed his lead no earmarks would pass.

If Paul were elected, hold on tight. It'd result in the most radical restructuring of government in anyone's lifetime. And that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

This. Over the past century the Federal government has grown entirely past where its bounds should be.

another politician promising to "fundamentally transform America"

egads...

Ron Paul notwithstanding, the GOP field as it's currently comprised is weak and if it gets no better, my hope is that they at least win a majority in the Senate and retain the House.

Yeah Ron Paul wants to fundamentally transform America, but he wants to do it by returning to the days of individual liberty and rule of law. Except for this time it won't just benefit white males. Kind of faulty to imply this is along the lines of what Obama promised in his campaign. Also, Paul has always walked the walk, so less likely to see empty promises from this suit.
