The number of threads about this game stands as testament to the importance of Tennessee vs. Alabama.
The first UT/UA game I went to was 1982 - the end of 12 years of frustration and the end of the Bear era at Alabama. Man - what a party that was.
Since then, we've seen streaks. I moved to Alabama in 1999 and I was shocked at the attitude of Bama fans. They pretty much assumed UT was going to beat them. Coming from a history of being on the other side - I was shocked. But, they were right. UT had beaten them and was going to beat them until 2002.
The game is huge. Records and stats mean nothing. The prevailing attitude in Alabama is that UT will win. Let's hope that attitude is right!
