Final days of Pruitt? What's real and NOT?

Let me shine a beacon of light on all this "replace Pruitt talk"....yes, everyone can see the results, let's take that off the table.

He just received a 2 year extension, he will get one more year to right the ship. So, if there is no improvement, then I am there with those that are not emotionally charged to find a new HC. Unfortunately there is a very large feeling that some fans believe they are some how entitled to success from AD department or else.

Here is your choices since you are not a big donor. Take it or leave it....there are no guarantees in college sports. It appears you are too attached to a program to the point that is unhealthy. How many HCs should we go through before you are satisfied with the ups and downs of a team? 5, 6, 7 infinity? What have you done to help this team win? other than spew rumors and fake or made up news of this school?

Sit back and let the process work, then we'll see what is what.

What have I done?
Man go kick rocks!!
What have YOU done?

I donated over 2 grand a year of my hard earned money.
You talk about being too emotionally invested then harp about "what have you done to help ?" What else is a fan supposed to be you pompous sloth?

And we'll go through as many coaches until we get the right one. Easy answer!
Or I guess 0-12 against the Big 3 is just what you need to see. 0-9, plus losses to Ga State and UK at home weren't enough.

So why don't you take your own seat, tie an a
anchor to it, and go see if it will float on the Tennessee River!!

Based on everything I am seeing and hearing, I firmly believe we are days, NOT weeks or months from Pruitt being gone. Based on what I heard, he is finally gonna have to sit down and answer for things this week, and in all likelihood it is not going to go well. He will either be fired for cause, or they will negotiate a drastically reduced buyout. However, we are gonna get hammered by the NCAA also. So, good comes with the bad. I expect at minimum. One year bowl ban (maybe two). Multiple scholarships taken away, along with other possible sanctions as well. The more I hear about this investigation, the worse it sounds things are gonna go.

Psssssh! UT can do a 2 year bowl ban standing on its head.

All I’ll say is that my post on VQ today ruffled some feathers inside the program because they know it’s true. It is what it is though man. Pruitt is pissed because people are seeing that this program is being ran like a circus.

You, sir, have gravely insulted many, many, circuses all around this great nation of ours.

Considering both Pruitt and Smart worked for Saban, Tuscaloosa would be the next domino to fall. Doubt the NCAA or the SEC allows it to happen though.
That would be our saving grace. They would put the fire out in Knoxville to save Tuscaloosa.

I have always thought the players and possible coaches gamble on the games. You just can’t play 1 half of football and in the second half disappear.

Well clearly our guys bet on both halves in the Kentucky game...

Maybe that’s going on now? Isn’t Tennessee investigating themselves instead of the ncaa investigating? With the ncaa passing the athlete compensation deal, I highly doubt they want to lose 4 of the big 6 in the SEC (bama, Tennessee, uga, and uf). I assume the dominos would hit multiple other schools as well.

Several observations in response to the beacon of light so graciously shed upon us:
1. Whether VN posters are big donors or not is irrelevant to any opinions rendered.
2. A passionate desire for UT’s gridiron success does not translate to the fan base being or seeming entitled, and most understand that.
3. UT football fans are no different than most other SEC fan bases when it comes to being attached to their team. I fail to see why that passion and love of school is “unhealthy”.
4. We understand there are no guarantees to winning and that we can “take it”or “leave it” However, most on this forum have been “taking it” for 12 years or more.
5. We should hire as many coaches as necessary to field a consistently competitive team.
6. I imagine most on this site have provided moral and/or financial support to help the team win. I’m not sure what else regular fans can do.
7. Finally, the disappointing results on the field and ensuing internal review are fueling this discussion in the first place.

Good post. And I agree about players daddy’s making threats. I (like most of us) am thrilled that Bailey is our qb. But the idea that one players dad’s opinion has any impact on anything is ridiculous. As a few days have went by it kind apisses me off that he put that out there. What’s the point? Like the administration would say well he’s not getting it done but hey...one players daddy is threatening to transfer so we need to rethink things. Lol. And where the hell is he going to go? He has the best chance of playing at a major school right the hell where he is.
No different than Hurd’s crazy town family influencing 90% of people here. That was insanity to witness.

You have access to how much he donates to the University? Pretty sure he/she is a grown ass adult and capable of thinking for themselves. As for the “ spewing of rumors” . It’s a college football message board. He/ she stated what they heard. The OTHER GROWN adults can decide what they think about it. Little may not be a “big donor” but I’m pretty sure you aren’t FREAK. If you want to censor what grown adults say on social media, there’s a job out in California for you
