Final 4 - odds of landing each

My bet is Davis is the only guy that signs. Kirven's parents cancelled their mid-week trip to Knoxville and that's a bad omen. Too little to late with Leggett plus the grades issue. Only Patterson knows where he's going but I think he's a one and done player and will choose UGA due to their QB Murray and the likelyhood that UGA returns to the SEC Championship game where he'll get a lot more national exposure which improves his marketability.

That said, I hope I'm wrong about everything except Davis ... Go Vols !!!

We aren't missing out on all of them, so in my mind someone has to be 100%...

Q 100%
KK 99.9%
CP 80%
Famous Amos 100% (If UT admits him)

Keep the faith people!

You might be setting your self up for disappointment my friend. Per Hubbs, Austin Price and many other recruiting analysts we are 50/50 on landing Kirven or Patterson. The locks are Legget and Q. Davis.

Patterson 40%. Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia, and LSU split the remaining 60%. So I'd give one of the other 4 teams the slight lead, but I wouldn't be shocked (and I'd be crazy excited) if he ends up a Vol at the end of the day.

Somehow, your math doesnt add up. How can one of four teams splitting 60% lead if you think UT is at 40%...........unless three of those teams are at 4% or so.

The only way I'm disappointed is if we strike out on all of them...and that isn't happening. Despite the negativity around here over Santos, I think UT has some great momentum lately and will finish with a bang. If Amos gets in I believe that guarantees 2 of the 4, IMO we lead for Kirven and CP, so they would be gravy if they sign on the 1st

the other 4 schools each have a 15% shot - UT has a 40% shot - each of them has a lower shot than UT individually but as a group have a better shot than UT

so is saying he would play the field against UT, but UT would still be the frontrunner - make sense?

This is just me, and I know it will never happen, but I would love for Dooley to tell some recruit...."if you pull that bush-league crap of putting on one jersey and then taking it off to reveal another on signing day, consider our offer void, no matter what color jersey you're wearing underneath. If you want to play for UT, be humble and act like athlete that is grateful for the opportunity and not one that feels like the coaches are priviledged to have you - because it's actually the other way around son"

+1,000,000 Like these kids need their ego fed any more than it already has been.

This is how I'm leaning at this point.

I think they get Davis, Patterson and Kirven head elsewhere and who knows with Leggett. My guess is he ends up with Marshall even though I think taking him is a win-win situation. If he doesn't qualify you have that scholarship available next year. It's better than signing a guy like Crump, Marteze Jackson, Greg Clark late who likely will never contribute and tie up a scholly for 4-5 years.

No more wasted scholarships just for warm bodies...nice to get through that part of the rebuilding process.

Yes thankfully! I think we saw proof of that this year when they dropped some guys that were real head scratchers when they committed.

If we only land Q. Davis out of those four, does that mean we will sign 3 players like the ones you mentioned (Crump, Jackson, Clark), or will we just not waste the scholly's. Better yet, who do we sign, or who is in the discussion for us to sign if we only get Q. Davis out of that group?

If we only get Davis I see them pushing those scholarships to next year because in state 2013 talent is balls deep. (no homo)

Save the scholarships IMO. They are past needing fillers and reaches like that. Also, you never know who could become available after signing day in this class. Plenty of guys end up getting released from their LOI's for various reasons and big-time prospects aren't immune to that. Taking 3 reaches at this point does nothing positive IMO. It just ties up that scholly for another 4-5 years.

Most non Vols feel UGA is the leader for him. Now, we may land him, but most say UGA is the leader. I don't have any insider info this is straight from Rivals and the 247 guys over the last week or so.

*Edit:

Also Jamie Newberg who I think is with ESPN now did a predictor last week, and had him with UGA.

I wouldn't put a lot of stock in what Newburg or any bonehead from ESPN says. They are paid guesser's. Probably were former meterologists.

I understand what you are saying, but at this point everyone is just guessing. Everybody wants to talk to someone who really knows. Guess what, nobody does. If they did the subscription to their website would cost the same as a new Prius.

This is not an exact science. Some kids know where they are going from day one and some make up their mind at the last minute. It's crazy dog.

Since we're all putting %'s on our gut feelings, I guess I'll throw some out there.

Q. Davis 90%
A. Leggett 75%
K. Kirven 40% (I think he stays home)
C. Patterson 33% (down to 3 teams and no one seems to really know anything about where he's going)

That's exactly what I was saying, but I guess I could have been more clear...I just think Patterson more than likely ends up w/one of the other 4 teams, but just not sure which team. Thanks!

I'm just basing my opinion off of what CP told Hinshaw during the in-home visit Friday.

I'm 100% sure I am not going to work Wednesday and 99.9% sure I'll be drinking a spicy bloody mary at 8:00 a.m.

A mimosa, like Texas, is the .1
