Looking at some stats Southern Miss put up against this past Sat.

310 Rushing yards off of 55 Rushing attempts.
122 Passing yards with 1 TD.

Seeing that we had a tough time stopping the run, this might be a tough game. BUT this would be perfect game to get our D on the right page.

I predict a couple INTs from our backs, we have to find a way to block them holes up, or they will run all over us. I'm bout to watch some highlights.

Anyone feeling a lil bit nervous?

Southern Miss is replacing their center and guards, so who did they play that they put up these numbers on?

Thanks, looks like we are in for a barnburner on the line!

I bet they have less than 100 yds at the end of the game. D shows up and proves the negavols wrong.

I think it is worth 20 bones. You can prolly find it at a bar for free. We have three already on PPV. Will you drink up 60 in bar tabs and food over three games? That is how I would go about making that decision.

It's easily worth $20. Tennessee could have some trouble with Southern Miss early on. I think Tennessee's offense will be too much for SoMiss though.

Should be a good game.

Hello Vol fans. We are replacing some key players on our O-line. Against UTM, the o-line looked decent on run blocking, but the pass protection was terrible.

Jeremy Young, the starting QB, is very mobile, but inconsistent in the passing game. We have a couple of young receivers with promise to go along with the TE Shawn Nelson who is good but inconsistent as well.

Our backfield is loaded. Damion Fletcher is an extremely talented soph. He was the best true freshman in the country last season with a little over 1,300 yards. His back up, Tory Harrison, is also a sophmore who brings a different style of running to the mix. We also have two true freshmen that can be dangerous.

The defense returns 9 starters. We lost both starting corners to graduation, but shifted a hoss of a safety to one corner in Brandon Sumrall. Middle Linebacker Gerald McRath is a little undersized, but a pretty good player.

I wouldn't focus to much on the stats from Saturday. We definitely played a little conservative because of the opponent and the fact that it was raining cats and dogs.

Thought I would offer some first hand insight. What are we looking at against the Vols?

By the way, most Southern Miss fans are great people and football fans, but I am sure that some of our crazies will make their way on here. Please don't judge us based on what they say. As a whole, we have a tremendous amount of respect for your program.

I am making the game this weekend. Maybe I can meet a few of you. Looking forward to a tough, good game.

Everything you stated was true other than this. You just pissed CJ Spiller off.

I am a little biased, but I made that statement based purely on statistics. I will reword... He had more yards than any other true freshman in the country. The only other freshman that had more yards was a redshirt at Wisconsin, I believe. :)

Sounds better. If Spiller didnt have to split carries with Davis it wouldnt be true though:p

we are young and inexperienced at a lot of positions, i think we'll get better. my biggest concern is everyone wants to get rid of fulmer, but without a great hire for a coach it could get a lot worse. i'm not a negavol or anti fulmer, i think he's still a better coach then what a lot of programs have. it might be time for a change but i'm worried about who we would possibly get to replace him.
