I was just wanting everybody's take on this. First of all I'm excited about the class Butch is building. I'm just wondering if it's a bad thing that we are filling up this class this quickly.

I mean what if we are having a better season than most expect, you know we beat some teams we are not supposed to like UF or USC. Then all of a sudden some bigger named recruits want to jump on board but we don't have the space. I know this is not likely but its not totally out of the realm of possibility.

So basically are there any negatives to filling up a recruiting class too fast?

I am a bit nervous about it as well. I'm also worried that after a 6-6 season that some of these guys abandon ship

It seems as if a lot of teams are filling their classes up quicker these days. I hope they'll go back and look at having early signing periods.

Not when it's filled with 4*

Faster the better IMO. The sooner these kids are on board and committed, the better the bond between them. A lot more likely this kids stick after being together for months and calling each other family. I honestly do not think this seasons outcome will come into play at all when it comes to holding onto the class. I think the class knows THEY are the ones that will step in and start the rebuilding. After all, they are the foundation.

I don't see a downside here. The coaching staff goes into the season able to hone in on a hand full of blue chip recruits for positions of need.

I can understand that thinking. If you look at this class though it got great quality, there's a reason you only see a handful of 5*. I'll take young men that want to be here and this class fills those needs. CBJ waits on no one!!! Coach em up we'll be just fine!!

What a fantastic problem to have. I sure prefer this to only having only 5 or 6 at this point. I agree with a previous post about an early signing period. I would live to see an early signing period. Maybe from Memorial Day through July.

I would bet that the coaches are blunt with them regarding expectations this season. I believe that the recruits know its gonna be a down year, but are looking to be the class to return us to prominence.

I doubt we lose any one of Ws and Ls. In sure the coaches aren't blowing smoke up recruits arses about expectations for this year.

I like that they are filling up fast to get a jump on 2015 class.

In years past we've talked about teams getting who they wanted and then we get what's left. Now we're getting who we want and they'll get what's left.. And somehow you Dooley dolittles still find a way to be negative! I'm tired of this stupid ****

Um these are rich man's problems. Been awhile since UT has had those. Wouldn't complain too much. Congrats, your class is damn good

Chances are we'll probably lose a couple by signing day anyway, simply cause that's how it goes. But all in all I think we'll be fine.
