I've been playing with Everton. They're a decent middle of the road team, but the board expectations are pretty high. My goal is to qualify for Champions League, which with about 2 months worth of season left, I doubt its going to happen in my first year. Hopefully I don't get fired at seasons end.

Right now I'm sitting about 9 points out of 4th with 10-12 games left. The real challenge is going to be figuring out what to do going forward once the Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barry loans expire if I don't get the CL money. You know, pretty much the exact problems the actual club will face at years end if they can't hold onto a top 4 spot.

That sounds pretty gratifying. I should try that. I usually just picked the richest team and buy every good player in the world.

It's pretty fun, and if you're in it for the long haul, you should give it a try. It takes a long time to play all those seasons, and the years after you secure promotion can be pretty frustrating as it takes a little time to upgrade your squad to adapt to the increased level of the competition. FA and Capital One Cup games when you're in the 4th division against Premier League competition are ridiculous.

So, this has probably been discussed already but FIFA14 definitely offers players an actual chance to convert a free kick. I got my first last night with Luis Suarez while playing with Liverpool. I've come close with a couple of Chelsea players so far too, either putting them just wide or forcing a save. I think this definitely has improved the game this year. In '13 I felt like getting fouled just outside the box was kind of like getting robbed. Especially if it was a cynical challenge that prevented a shot from open play. The fact that I can now go close or score from a kick definitely puts the defense on their toes as to whether to give the foul away or not.

Also, not really a FIFA feature but I was able to upload the video of my free kick to FB from my PS4. I think this is an awesome feature that they have put in the new PS4s, now I can go back and save or share my once in a life time never gonna score that again goals lol

Disclaimer, goal would be pretty if it was real life, its still a great goal in FIFA but not spectacular. I just uploaded the video because it was my first free kick conversion and my first chance to upload something from my PS4

Just picked this up today and started the ultimate team....no clue what I'm doing, where the hell did you guys start? I have 789 coins and I don't think that's gonna get the job done hah.

You gotta work your way up Iona. Play the tournaments. You almost have to get lucky and get a player in the packs worth value

Play the tournament that gives you a team item pack, that will help finish most of the initial tasks and i think you get a gold pack. Don't buy anything, use your initial players for all they're worth, since they have 45 game contracts

I wouldn't buy unless you have built up a good amount of $$$. If you want to buy someone, ALWAYS go to "compare price" so you can find the best deal. Playes with different chemistry styles will be more expensive. Once you build up your team, it's a lot of fun. I mostly roll with Germany b/c my Grandpa is German. Götze is my favorite player. Just make sure you don't blow your money on one good player and then you're broke after. Build slowly and save coins when you can

Sweet. Also whenever they do a "featured" single player tourney, do it if you have the players for it. Pay out tends to be slightly better. You got xbox or ps?

Also remember that transfers generally have 7 game contracts, so you'll have to renew them

What are your team ratings at so far? With my best lineup I'm only at a 65 with like a 59 chemistry rating.

My girl is away for the weekend, so I'm gonna put some work in....I know, sick life I have hah.
