Semi Pro is not too different, except that the AI spontaneously decides to play defense on some occasions when you are sprinting down their side of the field.

Professional is the first game mode where the scores won't likely being 6-0, 5-0, 7-1, etc. but it's still easy enough for someone to get consistent 3-0, 2-0, or 3-1 wins.

World Class is where it gets a little tricky. The AI is actually a threat to win a game. For me personally, I will win more than 70% of matches I have on world class, but that 30% tieing or losing keeps me honest, making it my most used difficulty.

Legendary can be very difficult for people new to the game. Although, it is very beatable for experienced players who know how to approach the game the right way. It becomes very difficult for through/over the top balls to be effective at this point. The AI defense is still much to discipline.

Ultimate team is clearly the most challenging game mode. It's winnable, like any other game mode, but the only way to win is through strategy or having overwhelming talent on your side. It becomes almost impossible to steal the ball from the AI. It's as if every player on the other team can dribble the ball like Neymar and pass like iniesta.

I stick to world class because on legendary, the AI of your defenders is so poor that the computer can dribble around the box for 10 minutes without attempting a tackle. Having a good set of sliders on world class is the best challenge I've found.

The defensive AI is awful online PVP. It's as if they don't do anything at all in the box.

Thank you Persian, I really appreciate all the tips. I finally played online and I'm struggling with people who use Real Madrid and just run everywhere with Ronaldo.

Quite frustrating to be honest.

I finally learned that skill moves were used by flicking the stick "up" the direction your player is facing. So if I'm running right and I want to do a skill move that starts with "up" I flick the stick right first.

I was discussing this with my buddies I was playing with.

Although Bayern is rated higher than Barcelona and Real Madrid, are they "over-powered" like the other two squads?

Bayern is the only other mega elite team when healthy, and I personally love using them. With bayern I can take on Barca, but Real and is too much to handle with the Ronaldo/bale combo. Those two are lethal.

Even with Lahm/Alaba as fullbacks it's nearly impossible to stop those two on a consistent basis, which is kind of absurd if you think about it. Bayern has easily the best defense on paper, but what good is it if you can just outrun them with two guys? Also, auto through balls should be banned online, people hit entirely too many 60 yard balls on the dot to a wide open striker.

Anyone can take Ronaldo down the wing and simply run past defenders and score a goal. That's why it's frustrating for me.

Pace kills in Fifa. It's all about the pace. 90+ pace with 90+ dribbling is the hardest thing to defend. Generally, as long as your not controlling the wrong player and putting him out of position, that shouldn't happen. But when it does, it's the easiest way to concede.

I don't have a problem as much with the straight dribble down the wing, that's easy enough to defend. The problem is when you're halfway in the other teams half and they play a blind through ball 50 yards over your defender to Ronaldo, who is playing striker. Can't defend that.

Agreed. I have success with the fake shot, just sometimes it won't fake and the ball will just roll to the goalie. Very aggravating.

The Mcgeady/Berba spin (up and right/left) and the roulette have worked well for me too.

Anyone can do a skill move, but it takes practice to execute them at an efficient manner. It's smart to choose 2-3 good skill moves and keep practicing them

I think the best time to try fake shot is when your just outside the box and they think you are attempting a shot. Then quickly get by the defender who lunged himself trying to defend it and there should be a split second where you have a clear shot on goal
