FGCU Coach Andy Enfield just told Andy Katz in a phone interview on ESPNU that Mercer is one of the best teams they have played this year. FGCU beat Mercer twice, but at least the team that eliminated us from the NIT is getting respect from the Cinderella of the year! Go Vols! Gotta get it done next year!

After that beat us, Mercer lost to BYU by like 20 points.

Good thing we didn't have to mess with the Mormans or they would have beat us by 35

Garbage.

We did indeed suck. But we could have played our regular game and still gotten fits from Mercer. They are notorious for screwing up their opponents FG %.

Mercer got beat by 19 last night against a team that shoots it a hell of a lot better than we do. But it was a 4 point game with 10 minutes to go.

I love this phony anger we have towards our bball team right now due to the fact they blew that NIT game. There were 4500 people at that game, the team cared as much about the game as the fans did, which is not at all. End of story. It's not the writing on the wall for Cuonzo or any other BS like that. NO ONE cared about that game, we're just being typical Vol fans and looking for excuse to let out our pent up frustration. Being angry about missing the big dance, i can understand. But don't even put on the act that we're disappointed that we lost an NIT game.

So, we are proud that FGCU coach is giving props to a team he beat twice and we lost to??? I'm confused.

Jax... it is spelled Mormons. Just helping you out a little. By the way.. with the effort by the Vols in the last 2 games, my office workers could have won a pickup game against them. :search:

I'll tell you one thing.....I am going to join them mormons. Because any school that can take five white boys and win a NIT game must have the right god!

No one said we should be proud. Mercer isn't a garbage team. When you don't come to play then you can get beat.

FGCU also beat Miami. Everyone gave Miami sh*t about them losing that game, but FGCU turned out to be a pretty good team. Mercer won at Bama and at FSU. They were a pretty decent team too.
