Ferguson Riots

The officer should sue the state after he's cleared.

For what? It looks like he was in the right but the state hasn't charged him with anything at this point or tried to publicly bash him. There has been zero attempts at character assassination that I have seen from the state.

Yes it does. And for those who have "distrust of the local authorities", was there any evidence or actual reasons provided to support the distrust? I'm asking because I haven't completely kept up with everything going on.

From what I have seen, however, those who might claim distrust (note: not trying to lump everyone into the same category here, but thinking of the Brown's attorney, Sharpton, and a few others) have been the ones who have fabricated, or at least largely embellished, the actual facts that are now being reported.

My honest opinion. There are some people that just don't like law enforcement. Some take it a step further and just don't like white law enforcement. Meaning that any time there is a run in with either they are going to be abused in some way. To some, the only trust they would have for law enforcement is if they never see the first cop car.

Not everyone is in the same category, but from their Gov. down to their local level politicians they have fanned the flames of judgment without conviction extremely early. Some of the same politicians are on the freedom of speech ban wagon ( on the protestors behalf), which is perfectly fine. But in the next breathe demand "prosecution" or "indictment" like its 100% fact the cop was in the wrong.

At what point does the good cops say "screw this, it ain't worth it".

Im not sure his legal recourse after the fact, (if there is any that could and should be taken) but the Gov. of the state basically said they are out to seek justice for the Brown family. If the cop was "justified" in his actions, what justice is there left to be had? He also went on to use the word "prosecute vigorously" when investigate would seem to be the proper term. It sounds like he is trying to sway public opinion that the officer is at some kind of fault, either that or he is a complete idiot. Maybe both.

Instead of calling for calm and patience while the evidence is gathered and reviewed he goes full retard.

My god some people are just so anti cop they won't listen to reason. I just explained to a friend how the shot pattern shows a charging target and a man favoring his left and my friend just was like "I just don't see it. I don't get it."

He needs glasses..

I even explained why the bullets would hit the inside of his right arm.... The guy is awesome and a great friend but hes one that has made up his mind about this and won't look at the evidence.

He even made an excuse for Johnsons history of lying to authorities saying black guys have to..... My friend is white. I was like wtf

The governor is already proclaiming his guilt & appointing a prosecutor to "vigorously prosecute" barely into the investigation. He may have tried but it's too late to back track.

Your friend is likely a democrat. Tell him to stop watching force fed MSM and educate himself. If that doesnt work give him a water pistol and begin beating the **** out of him and wait for his reaction. If that doesnt work find a new friend.

I don't think he's a Democrat. Normally he and I agree on a lot of stuff. I just don't think he's trusting of LE for whatever reason and has gone pants on head retarded over this.

I trust cops as far as I could throw one of them out of a Krispy Kreme but common sense should tell anyone, ya don't go slapping one around. High likelihood of getting shot.

This is simple. Get a pistol and tell your friend to run at you so you can simulate the crime.

I dunno. I'm hanging out with a couple right now.. Well technically they're doing their job right now but still fun chats while they write up a report.

Thanks for the additional insight. All good perspectives. :hi:
