Ferguson Riots

They may have gotten smart and finally put undercover police in the crowd. Not to hassle the protesters but to pick out the real trouble makers and bust them before they set off a full on police response. That's most likely why the armored trucks rolled into the crowd.

Someone should send in strippers dressed as police to break the tension. I don't imagine it wouldn't be easy to strip to the pulsating sound of the LRAD, though...

One would think they would realize not to throw things at police lines at this point?

Yeah, the cops advanced, but then wisely backed off and things have really calmed down. I say wisely cause it appears to be a good result.

If the police are wearing gas masks, that might be an indication of something pretty significant.

Like you are about to get gassed?

Sadly some of them aren't smart enough to realize that.

Honestly if I were a Ferguson resident I'd already be over all of this crap. It would have gotten old super quick.

Did the unicorns suggest easing the tensions?

I don't see this entire situation ending well for either side.

I stay off the mythical networks as much as possible.

True, continued escalation from those "protesters" (term used loosely) and from outside groups with a different agenda have created a mess.

I'd be locked in my home/apartment since this **** started.

I can't tell from the coverage, but it appears they are advancing, taking someone in to custody and extracting.

And unfortunately, the residents of Ferguson cannot see they are being manipulated by experts in the field.

And don't think this didn't go unnoticed.

I can't help it if you don't appreciate the finer things in life. Like getting a glass of Hoegaarden straight from the vat at the original brewery in Belgium.

It was only 45 minutes away from where I was at in Germany. And I took the tour...a couple of times.

Well, I suppose it is probably much better straight from the bright tanks. That is some skunky brew from a bottle that was shipped a million miles, though.

To each his own. I don't drink as much as I used to, but tend to try micros from time to time. Colorado was great for microbrews.

@WesleyLowery

Elaborate barricade system in Ferguson. All side street access to W. Florissant blocked. Locals driving over lawns to get home

Stay classy.

What it boils down to is the protesters want the police officer charged w/the crime of broad day murder. And the protesters will not leave or quit till that's done. You've got some people just out there standing & gawking & in the way to see what's happening. Why can't they just go home to bed & come back tomorrow & start all over w/the peaceful protest?

I had beer from 9 different microbreweries when I visited Maine and Boston a couple of months ago. My version of heaven. Also, the microbrew scene in Atlanta is actually quite good. Nothing beats my homebrew, though.

Sorry to continue this off topic discussion, but I don't really have anything to say regarding the Ferguson situation beyond the obvious notion that it is shameful and senseless to use the death of kid (whether justified or not) as an excuse to loot and destroy.

They just snatched someone.

On the FX news feed, she was standing on the curb yelling across the street towards LEO. I didn't hear anything threatening from her other than the usual taunts from those protesting but regardless, they singled her out.

She was a loud mouth. They probably got tired of hearing her BS.
