And my last post wasn't argumentative towards you by any means. I am unaware if the interviews have been made public although I would doubt it has been.
Even if or when the interviews are made public, do you believe that those representing the Brown family and the public in general will be accepting of the information?
IMO, they'll claim it was thru coercion and illegally.
Of this I have no doubt. But it very well will cause a lawyer to salivate over the possibility of getting him on stand and tearing him apart. If he said one thing to investigators then said something else entirely to the press and then gets on the stand and repeats either or, a lawyer will have a field day.
So of the two eyewitnesses to the situation (Wilson and the "witness") one will be impeached by the counsel. Or if the facts are shown via the autopsy that Brown was facing the cop, his testimony can/will be shredded.

You and I know that. And I would believe most of the posters on here know that. But it will be an entertaining day in the courtroom watching a lawyer go after him.
Question. How would y'all feel about an independent review board being set up to review all cop involved deaths? Do you think that would prevent what we've seen in Ferguson the last week?

Here, in summary form, is what Terrill found about police use of force:
[E]xcessive force is very rare in most police agencies. In fact, police officers often use less (not more) force within the framework of a force continuum structure (i.e., a policy framework used by 80% of the police departments in the United States).
In a related manner, police officers actually appreciate and value the use of administrative force policy. They do not want carte blanche to engage in coercive acts as they see fit, but rather organizational policy guidance and direction as to when and when not to use varying types of forceful tactics.

Independent of who though?
It's not without merit, but depends on who they work for and get paid by.
I'm not sure, just a thought. It would have to remain independent and I would go so far as to say privately funded.
I like the idea of top forensics professionals. But, how do we fund it without enlisting uncle sugar?
