Curious if #Tennessee starts looking at Appalachian St’s Scott Satterfield. He took #Vols to OT &has won big at app state. Explosive offenses and knows the footprint for recruiting.

We’re in no position to give immediate, knee jerk “NO!” responses to pretty much anybody right now. The same guys that were a definite “no” this time last week are now viable options.

Are you f@#$ing kidding me? How many coaches who are more unproven than Tee Martin can we go after before we finally call in Tee Martin?

Satterfield is an OK coach, but like Doeren, hiring him would basically be saying "we're OK with being the 4th best team in the SEC East." Also remember that App State program was built up by Jerry Moore. Satterfield has done a good job sustaining the success, but I'm not sure his success translates to Tennessee. I'd be more OK with looking at these types of coaches if we weren't, for some inexplicable reason, completely ignoring the obvious fact that Tee Martin is still available.

i'd rather shut down the program for a year than to hire another loser for 5 years.

Yes we are... There are viable options our inept AD refuses to call

Lol. There are indeed viable options, but perhaps you haven’t been watching the last 19 days?? This is not a desirable job right now and our blithering idiot “search committee”, which includes Peyton Manning, is so damn incredibly inept, that we can’t trust them for even a split second to be vetting and talking to the right guys and keeps making it less and less desirable with each passing day.

Truth is that many of the same guys that were not viable and desirable to the fanbase a week ago are now very much in play. We’re in no position to look down our collective noses at up and comers like Satterfield, Brohm and others.

We all would. But either way, we’re in no position to go all high and mighty and say “hell no” to a successful coach, and up and coming coach in a “lesser” conference right now.

Les Miles, Kevin Sumlin, Lane Kiffin, Tee Martin. No phone call...and would take the job today. we aren't being high and mighty.

Man you guys are nuts. You've been turned down by 5-6 guys now and you would complain about Satterfield? Who do you think you're getting at this point? This insane fanbase might be the reason no one wants to touch this job.

The comment about App being a program "built up" by Jerry Moore is crazy. Moore spent his career coaching the FCS and he was great, but Satterfield was in charge of moving us up to the FBS. And our second year in the FBS we won 11 games. We won 10 last year (including whipping y'all for 4 quarters) and should end up with 8-9 this year (including last second losses, could easily have won 11 this year). Players love him, he's young, he can recruit, has fantastic assistants, amazing talent developer, and knows the area.

He'd be an amazing hire but I'm glad you're delusional fanbase and bats*** insane AD don't realize that.

I remember when people talked about what a winner Butch Jones was at every school he coached at until he got to the SEC. Being a great coach at App St. Is like winning a gold medal in the special Olympics.
