He took an 0-11 team to 10-3 in three years. He took a 3-8 team to 11-2 in three years.

What do you people not understand about that.

Bruce Pearl wasn't exactly well known to those outside of the coaching ranks, USI, Wisc-Mil and the Illini faithful when we hired him.

Give it a chance. A good coach is a good coach, a bad coach is a bad coach, no matter what level he is on. Sometimes ya gotta take a chance, and really, we would be taking a chance no matter who we ended up with. Heck, we took a chance when we re-hired Cutcliff. Everyone (mostly) wanted something new, someone "younger", so lets wait and see how it works out. Im pretty sure that CPF has more insight, and facts, and knowledge than any of us here do, so we will see.

I think this is the right move. offensive wise... but recruiting is diffrent story i think it will hurt for a couple years.

I understand he has taken teams and turned them around but villanova, fordham, richmond. Those are some real powerhouse conferences.

Yes. Taking a team from 0-11 to 10-3 and another from 3-8 to 11-2 is not an accomplishment at all.

I'm sure you could have done much better in those conferences.

*ignoring the fact he was using talent equal to the record when he took over*

But but but it was against Fordham, Villanova and Lehigh
