Feelings about this Game? Anyone worried?

I feel it will be like a majority of the teams that play in bowls... we’ll have some rust to knock off and as long as the defense holds strong in the first half, as they have been the last 6+ games, it will be a second half ballgame with the VOLS pulling away. Running game takes hold after we beat on them a bit, JJ coming back and the defense is stellar in holding teams to minimal scoring in the 2nd half!

We’ll be singing Rocky Top late into the evening!!

Glad they made a bowl after such a miserable start. Got a lot of extra practice time. Hope they can win and finish the season with 8 wins and a positive feeling. I've pretty much given up on trying to get a feel for how this team will perform from week to week. Just cross my fingers and keep the cup strapped in place....and keep a healthy stock of whiskey at hand.

I do hope we see the good side of JG today. This match-up has again devolved into a battle for respect against another mouthy, arrogant little sister of the Big 10. Historically, especially recently, we have gotten the better of those match-ups and put the challenger in their correct place. Until they line up against true SEC talent, size, and speed, which we again have some of...they just don't know.

A loss would be embarrassing, and tough to swallow throughout the off-season.

I think this game is close through the third quarter, something like 21-24 or 27-24 and then I think the Vols pull away late and win by 8-10 points.

I'm always a little bit worried. This year I found myself always hoping that we are competitive and show improvement. Today is the same for me. Be competitive, Show improvement, and I'm hoping the score shows UT winning in the end.

The only clear advantage we have is that we've played a tougher schedule than them. They're advantage is that they've been more consistent than we have. I expect them to play well. I hope we will show up ready to play our best.

I was worried, but after talking with fellow Vol fans over breakfast at The Cracker Barrel, I feel better.
Uncle Hershel’s favorite made it all better, huh? 3 questions. How did you get your eggs cooked? Did you go with cinnamon apples or hashbrown casserole. And sausage or bacon?

Underdogs in bowl games historically win more than they should. But usually it's because they bring extra motivation because the favored team is disappointed to be at that bowl game, having started the season with higher expectations.

That said, both of these teams are excited to be in Jacksonville today, not disappointed. Each sees this as an opportunity to continue their rise from recent obscurity and set the tone for a better Spring and next season.

I think the difference (in Tennessee's eventual favor) will be that the Vols are aiming to win the SEC East and return to Top 10 consideration, while Indiana is (IMHO) aiming to return to respectability within their conference. I don't sense that Indiana is aiming to supplant OSU.

If there aren't any terribly one-sided misfortunes in the game today, I think Tennessee's higher goals and expectations will prove the difference and win the day.

But ya never know! There are always 5-6 key plays/opportunities in a game that usually decide close contests.
