Feeling tonight

Gruden knows he is driving this fan base nuts and I feel he would have come out today and denied all the rumors if he wasn’t already the guy.

Either he's dropping hints that he's going to be the guy (unlikely) or he's leading the Tennessee fans on (probable) which isn't cool or appreciated.

No way he would lead us on. Gruden loves this place too much to troll us. Plus, the guy is moving here. He would be hated after all this if he trolled us.

I could accept a rejection, if it must come. But, I would lose a lot of respect for Gruden if he was intentionally leading us on and toying with our emotions knowing all the time he wasn't coming.

I thought it had been established that what happened at the airport didn't happen.

Disclaimer - I could be wrong. I literally cannot keep up.

It happens to have happened that it happened not to have happened. Maybe. I can't keep up either. :p (sorry for the nonsense that just happened).

I vote Gruden.

Yep. That is why I think the deal is done and we are just waiting until everyone is ready. I really think Currie/Gruden wanted Butch to finish the season, but obviously that didn’t happen.

I say no but what keeps it open in my realm of possibilities is that espn is in financial trouble and mnf ratings keep dipping.

Yeah, I believe Gruden is hyper sensitive to Butch, and now Hoke, being treated respectfully and truly doesn't want to be a distraction.

Yes, if money is not a problem as it has been said many times, then we will get him. He has had at least 4-5 on air opportunities to say " no I'm not going " but he has not. Only way he doesn't is if an NFL job he really wants gives him a call and it's the right situation.

I agree 100%. If he has no interest in TN he would have said so. He is either accepted the job or seriously considering it.

It just amazes me how much this fan base just tortures itself over Gruden lol...Hey I've joined in on the fun but damn this is just out of hand...I seriously doubt he is coming to UT...I would be happy if he did but I just do not see the reason he would...I really don't...He's got a cushy job at ESPN and can coach a NFL team if he wants to..I know he loves UT but good lord I don't see any reason he would come here and give up what he has...Oh well lets hope he does but I am gonna check out the REAL candidates.
