Mississippi State who is 22-2 and ranked #22 come to Knoxville on Sunday to play the LadyVols. Tennessee always seems to have hard battles against good teams and i think this will be the same. I think the LadyVols beat Mississippi State by 7.

They are a decent team but if we played their schedule we would be 24 and 0 most likely. Another game where we have to come out strong and play for forty minutes. I'm hoping it will work out that we go into SC undefeated in the SEC. Still have a tough game at Ole Miss and Kentucky at home. Never easy in the SEC.

I saw Ole Miss playing LSU last night, and if Tennessee can't blow by them, then each and every player should give their scholarships back.

On a more serious note, they are terrible. If Tennessee loses to them, that's 100% on the players and Holly. There is no reason that should be even a mildly competitive game.

We should win but they are not terrible. They had a bad game at LSU but have a win over Georgia, Arkansas, lost to Kentucky by 6 and Mississippi State by 2 so they have some ability especially at home. They are 3 and 1 at home in the SEC with the Miss. St game their only loss. Yes we should win but I wouldn't expect more than a ten point game they are very competitive at home a different team on the road.

all right Volfan how did they lose to themselves ? :)

they are ranked 18th,I would love to see the Lady Vols get a big lead and give Nia and the freshmen some more game experience

they need the work and rest Izzy some, there hasn't been a lot of games to get the freshmen much playing time ,the scores have usually been close

hopefully they will quit playing to the level of there competition and get a big lead early and keep it

I would sure like to see Tucker turn in some minutes. I believe medically she has been approved to play. The only way you are going to find out if the knee will hold up is to get in the fray. I have read several comments to the effect that if Tucker is not mentally ready to play Holly should not push her to play, however, a push or encouragement has to come from someone or she may never feel ready.

Just a feeling but I afraid that she will be added to our much too long list of players who have suffered injuries that just don't heal quickly if at all.

We were talking about Ole Miss a team we play on the road. We should beat Miss. St by double digits at home. I think the Ole Miss game will be much tougher on the road.

My take on Tucker is that she may never play here. She may get a medical scholarship and never play another minute. If she hasn't recovered from the ACL injury in two years probably want ever make it back. Next season I can see her being way down the depth chart going to be hard to get minutes. When you look at the perimeter you have Diamond, Te'a, Andrea, Jasmine, Jordan, Alexa, and Me Me and sometimes used on the perimeter Jamie. That is eight players who look to be ahead of her next season.

Isn't Tucker's knee OK? Isn't she practicing? I assume the answer to both questions is 'yes.' I think the problem with Tucker is that she didn't play for two years--didn't play her senior year of high school, correct?--and then had to overcome the knee surgery. I assume that she is just way behind in terms of adapting to major-college basketball, but it would be nice if one of the team's beat reporters asked the question. She's not going to contribute this year--and she may not contribute much next year, either. She will simply have to get after it, show what she can do on the practice court, and try to earn some playing time.

She is locked out this year and appears to be locked out next season as well. She will have to make great progress over the summer. I still don't see any minutes. Were perimeter player heavy next season and doubt we play more than six any amount of minutes. Those six appear to be DeShields, Cooper, Reynolds, Carter, Jones, and Middleton. Then you still have players like Jackson and Nared. We could move Jones and Nared inside and she might get 5 to 8 minutes don't see her as a huge contributor this year or in the future.

I think we're going to need Jones at the 4 next year. Nared, IDK, she's got the size but I don't think she has the toughness to play the 4.

There were some internal things going on. Their top player's mother was just put in the hospital and she just received the news right before the game or something reported by the announcers. You could tell her head was not in the game and it affected the entire team. Ole Miss is a scrappy team. They game Texas A&M and Kentucky good battles on the road.
