Fear the Walking Dead

I think most fan will be more interested in FWD than TWD after season two. Very solid first season - fresh story and characters.

Still concerned about some of the writing though. These shows have developed some questionable storytelling habits regarding the believe-ability of how characters act/respond/reason with certain events and each other.

Still better than most of the crap on prime time, but they are letting their standards slip a bit - especially with TWD

We'll see but I think going to 15 episodes might be a mistake.

From the trailer, I think it's going to be a good season.

Totally different concepts to explore.

The first season of Fear doesn't measure up to TWD imo but that finale was really good. Im excited for the second season. Lets see what its got

The only thing I hated about the first season was the time jump of the military taking over. I thought the whole point was supposed to be about the turn and how society fell apart but they skipped the interesting part.

You'd think the military would be fairly well depleted after sending them to most cities in the country.

yes - I think this series will quickly become more interested than TWD. And the best part is it's free from the chatter of comic book readers.

This was a bette show than TWD and I am excited that it's back. I thought the writing, setting, and characters were more interesting overall.

But it will get its own Talking Dead now...

That's fine but the fact that there is no previously written account of this show levels the playing field for the viewers.

I have to disagree with the latter. The characters on this show as of right now simply aren't as interesting as some of the characters on The Walking Dead.

Disagree. The characters in FWD are still innocent. I'm still getting to know them unlike TWD were everyone has devolved into some form of anti-hero. I can't really relate to TWD anymore, but I can to FWD because the outbreak has just happened. And isn't that the entire pull of a zombie show: what would I do in this situation? FWD will lose its allure over time just like TWD, but for now it just seems like a better written show with better characters.

I still have high hopes for the show, but I'm a bit leery of them going to 15 episodes and adding the Talking Dead. I'm afraid they are going to go the same route as the parent series and throw in filler and start to drag things out.

The good thing going for it is there's no real source material for people to compare to, other than it's in the same universe as TWD.
