Favorite Vol JUCO ever?

Mahelona was the most memorable JUCO. CP was the most exciting. And AK was the most talented (despite having a coach who didn't know how to use him).

I remember the first time Charlie Garner entered a game and took a handoff from Heath Shuler and thinking to myself, "Little Man Stewart..find yourself a spot on the bench."

And Dale Carter. Before the season opener of his first year, a local news station showed video of him running agility drills in practice. I knew even then that the kid was going to be amazing.

Dale Carter, Leonard Little and Alvin Kamara are my 3 favorite JUCOs. Carter was incredible, as was Little.....AK wouldÂ’ve been, just didnÂ’t get the opportunity, loved his attitude here.

Edit- add Charlie Garner....canÂ’t pick just one

Dale Carter if only for his kickoff return against Spurrier and UF. Iheard Spurrier lament that game this year on Sirius radio. Warmed my heart and game night memory of so long ago.

Since there are some JUCO haters on this site who obviously have no idea what they are talking about......

Let's name our favorite Vols who came to The Hill via JUCO route.....

CHARLIE GARNER...straight up baller. One of best RBs in Vol history....

Little known fact was Charlie Garner's nickname at the time when we signed him was the Grey Ghost ..Everyone's All American with Dennis Quaid was popular at the time and his Billy Cannonesq Gavin Grey character 's nickname was the Grey Ghost

Went to the 97 Citrus bowl and met Denton in the players hotel in the lobby. I was hanging around my friend Big Shane. Shane called him over to talk and I had to ask him to say "Tackle by Tyrone Hines!". Good stuff!'

Another vote for Dale Carter. That TD return that initiated the complete beatdown of the Gators was the final game I attended at Neyland as a student - to this day remains my favorite football game I've ever seen.

I agree. Was my favorite game being in attendence.

Love Garner and he had some wicked moves behind a so so run blocking OL.

But got to go with Dale Carter all the way.
What an total all around athlete and the Andy Kelly 1990-1991 teams were my all time favorites second to the 1985-86 team that ripped Miami a new one in the Sugar Bowl.
